Local Romance Writers Host 7 Cities Book Festival PORTSMOUTH, Va. Nov. 15-16, 2019 -- Local writers’ group, Chesapeake Romance Writers (CRW) is hosting a multi-genre reader event with Best Selling authors Piper Huguley, Jenna Jaxon, Falugni Kothari, Priscilla Oliveras and a host of local authors of various genres. The event will take place at The Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel. Fans will have the rare opportunity to meet and greet their favorite author(s) during an exclusive cocktail party and luncheon by purchasing admission tickets as a “VIP” or “Readers Select” through the 7 Cities Book Festival site. Ticket holders will be treated to an author panel with the guest authors, a keynote speech by Jenna Jaxon at breakfast and a keynote speech by Piper Huguley during the luncheon, and a private book signing. After the meet and greet, the book signing portion will open to the public for free. "The 7 Cities Book Festival has been a goal of ours for quite some time," said Tia Benson-Bond, VP of Communications in CRW. "Hampton Roads is ripe with culture and art. It beats within our very souls. With so many other celebrations, it made sense to have a book festival celebrating another aspect of creativity--the written word." As part of CRW’s mission to support aspiring authors and support literacy in adults, a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to ProLiteracy.
