About Me

Born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York City, and graduated from SUNY/Buffalo. Alberto is a jack of all trades, but master on none, giving him a universal gift:  Poet, Writer, Author, Community Activist, and publisher of a local newspaper (Buffalo Latino Village - buffalolatinovillage.com), involved in promoting Latino Art and Education (theeducationalpledge.com, and buffalolatinoartgallery.com). Alberto's two most recent books - 'The Educational Pledge, Questions to Self-Development", and, "Back to the belly of the Beast: A Puerto Rican Colony in Buffalo's Lower West Side" (scheduled for publication in mid-2023. Alberto is the author of the well-known educational piece, "The Educational Pledge", which has been widely used in public schools.
