  1. A THRILLING WHODUNIT WITH POLITICAL INTRIGUE AND UNSUNG HEROES 1938 Chicago: "Alderman Earl Thomas rallies Black churches to demand that Unions open doors for Black tradesmen migrating from the South. His wife, Tallulah, vows to find and avenge the murder of her mother. Only 3 days until If Courage Could Talk eBook launches!"
  2. In "If Courage Could Talk, "Book Five of the acclaimed series, the Thomas family faces the brutality of World War II while battling murder and political corruption in Chicago. Blending real events — from the heroism of the Tuskegee Airmen and 761st Tank Battalion to the struggle for justice at home — these books go beyond stories of oppression to reveal the ambition, resilience, and sophistication of Black life across generations. This is U.S. history told from the inside, where courage isn’t just on the battlefield. "If Courage Could Talk" and the broader whileBlack Chronicles stand out because they portray African American historical fiction as a continuous, character-driven epic rather than a series of disconnected snapshots. The non-fictional and fictional characters remind us of our amazing history. My Author Website includes Chapter One

  3. In 2021, I published the first book in the whileBlack Chronicles’ African American Historical Fiction Series, “If Cotton Could Talk”. This month, I will publish book five. The fictional family was enslaved, survived the KKK during Reconstruction, and joined the great migration to Chicago, where this generation learned it was the same injustice, just a different accent. In Book five, “If Courage Could Talk,” A great-grandson, Earl, is elected Alderman in Chicago. When he pushes Unions to hire more Blacks, Earl is threatened by a notorious gangster. When WWII begins, a nephew leaves Chicago for Alabama to qualify as a Tuskegee Airmen. Earl’s son Boyd also joins the war and fights the Military Police in England, who try to enforce segregation. UNTIL THE LION TELLS THE STORY, THE HUNTER WILL ALWAYS BE THE HERO I have a free eBook promotion on am*zon, Aug 11-Aug 12, “If Cotton Could Talk” The series is described as informative and entertaining!

  4. Sundown towns are all over the South. Towns where, if you were Black, you could not be in when the sun went down. What they have in place is more than one man; it's a system built on exploitation and corruption. Trump can be easily replaced and nothing will change.
