Finally a poem I get!

homage to my hips

these hips are big hips

they need space to

move around in.

they don't fit into little

petty places. these hips

are free hips.

they don't like to be held back.

these hips have never been enslaved,

they go where they want to go

they do what they want to do.

these hips are mighty hips.

these hips are magic hips.

i have known them

to put a spell on a man and

spin him like a top!

Whew! Glad I'm still in the family.

You know, I read the DaVinci Code well after it was such a big success and I was sooo unimpressed that I haven't given any other of Brown's stories a thought. Maybe I'll give The Lost Symbol a look-see. Lord knows I need the answer to some metaphysical secrets . . .

Ok, be careful Dad. Remember the last time you tried to send Mama over the moon? You ended up with a knot on your head bigger than the moon. STOP THE VIOLENCE!

Just started Black Is The New White, Paul Mooney's memoir. Might not be able to read it on the bus too much 'cause folks were looking at me kinda funny when I started laughing out loud . . .
