THIS IS AN OUTDOOR, ANNUAL FAMILY LITERACY AND ARTS EVENT...Event: Detroit Book City's Juneteenth Books, Poetry & Arts Fair 2018 Date/Time: Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12 noon - 8pm Location: Northwest Activity Center, 18100 Meyers Rd, Detroit, MI 48235 Visit our website: www.detroitbookcity.com Description: This exciting one-day event celebrates "FREEDOM" in the expression of BOOKS, art & spoken word - - at the family level. Spectators will buy from African-American Indie book authors of adult and children's books, self-produced spoken word artists, and hand-crafted artisans who create paintings, drawings, ceramics, croquet knits, candles, beauty products, jewelry & more... You'll also enjoy LIVE, interactive children storytelling, LIVE spoken-word performances, KIDZONE, FREE health screenings & musical sounds by DJ Holly. Bring your family, church members, book club, youth group, school, neighbors, girlfriends, sport teams... EVERYONE IS INVITED!!
