I found this story, "A Black woman was found hanging from a tree in Mississippi," from just a few days ago.

The same article referenced a white man found hanging from a tree, this just a few hours after a Black student was found hanging from a tree on DSU's campus.

That is three within the past year in Just MS alone. None of these instances were attributed to foul play.

The NAACP reports, based upon data from Tuskegee, that in the 86-year period from 1882 to 1968 that there were 581 documented (which means there were probably more) lynchings in MS--that is more that 1 every two weeks for nearly a century.
