Barbara Elaine Smith, died of complications from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, on February 22, 2020, at her home on Long Island. February 22, 2020.

 

Smith pubbed several books, mostly notably, and this moment, Before I Forget, which details her battle against Alzheimer's.

I've been to her restaurants in the NYC's Theater District, DC's Union Station, and the one in Sag Harbor,LI. She would greet you with a smile and treat you warmly, like a friend. May she R.I.P.
