Washington Post Starts an Online Magazine for Blacks” This was the title of a post on our forum from January 2008. I stumbled across it looking for something else.  The woman who shared the article left the following comment.

 

“Great, the boogie Blacks have scored another sharp ass instrument to back-stab the Black masses with. And all we got is Jet & Ebony, that’s just f/ucked all up. That's the DEFINITION of OPPRESSION.” —Tonya

 

It was interesting to read the the press-release-like article from the NY Times. The Root's website bares little resemblance to the hype from it's launch.  

 

In a subsequent post Tonya recommended the Black Agenda Report.  All is not lost ... yet.
