New Book Chronicles History of Police Slayings From 1920-2020

[Dateline: LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, December 14, 2020]  Why is a statement about lives having value, controversial? As SNL's Michael Che stated in his standup, "Black Lives Matter. Just Matter.  Say Their Names: 101 Unarmed Black Women, Men and Children Killed By Law Enforcement” is a newly released book which documents the stories of some who have lost they lives to police violence.

George Floyd's murder was as shocking as it was common. In fact, there is an entire museum in Montgomery, Alabama, dedicated to 4,400 lynching victims. But, the sad truth is, 4,400 were only the known ones.  And, if you look into the statistics, many of the lynchings were perpetrated by, or sanctioned by law enforcement.

This compilation of lost lives is more of an encyclopedia and serves as a record for the 101 deaths of unarmed people of color attributed to law enforcement. From Tamir Rice to Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Aubrey to James Earl Chaney; many you have heard about, and many you have not. (Note, this is not a complete record.)

We document who they were as people, the details surrounding their deaths, as well as if there were any arrests or convictions of officers involved.  The book is dedicated to their families, as well as whistle-blower officers who stood up against systemic racism. (We have also include links to over 200 social justice organizations).

This books is available December 15, 2020 on am*zon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play.  (Links can be found on our website).

Campaign Justice is a newly formed organization by an established author and non-profit founder, whose mission is to promote social advocacy and justice projects for marginalized communities.
