G. Todd Taylor
It’s not a coincidence that G. Todd Taylor has a business called Uplift comprehensive services, that is just what he is doing for his community and who he is as a person. Uplifting the community and youth who are in great need!
G. Todd Taylor is a family man first a Husband, Father, Author, and Entrepreneur but more importantly a change maker. He owns a business in the North Carolina area where he currently resides.(2018) Uplift comprehensive services provides behavioral health services to at risk youth in the North Carolina area. He also founded a non for profit organization called the power of U. This organization aims to provide healthy development and improve the quality of life in youth. “Our efforts to provide better futures for the young people in our communities has lead us to not only plan programming for the child, but also for their caretakers.” (G. Todd Taylor) Since being in business for the past 15 years he has connected with the public schools, social service agencies, churches, civic organizations and the department of juvenile justice. In the process he has changed the lives of countless young people and families and it doesn’t stop there. Although he has contributed to society in a way that surpasses understanding he is a prolific writer that aims to instil powerful lessons into the minds of children.
G.Todd Taylor has authored 4 children’s books [as of 2018] and coauthored one with his daughter Morgan E. Taylor entitled Daddy’s Little Princess. Each children’s picture book is inspirational, age appropriate and has one mission in mind. That mission is to uplift, encourage, inspire and motivate not only children of color but children all over the world. Not only did Taylor author 4 books but he also wanted to help other individuals turn their dreams into reality by publishing their books and becoming authors. As a result of this he co-owns Taylor Made Publishing with his wife Diane Taylor.
Outside of being an author, business man and inspiration to all he comes in contact with he serves his community in various capacities by serving on several boards. The SBTDC advisory board at ECSU, the Acting Chair of the Greenville Parks and Rec. Commission, the STRIVE of Eastern North Carolina Advisory board as well as the Board Chair of the Heritage Collegiate Leadership Academy of Bertie County, the first charter school in the county.
G. Todd Taylor is an inspiration who has contributed to society in a major way and invested in children and youth that will pay off in this generation and the generations to come.
