If you want to make a difference in the world and build God’s Kingdom, don’t let the economic climate deter you from God’s call to write. Make plans now to attend the 2010 Write to Publish Conference. The conference will be held from June 9-12 on the campus of Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL (a suburb of Chicago).

During the conference, attendees will be able to meet with editors from Christian publishing houses who will tell them what they're looking for and meet with them one-on-one to discuss their ideas and manuscripts. Well-established freelance writers, editors and agents will teach attendees how to write a variety of manuscripts; improve their writing skills; find appropriate markets for their ideas; and deal with the spiritual side of writing. Among the speakers that will participate in the event are the following:

--Zena Dell Lowe, an actress, screenwriter, director and film producer whose writing credits include the award-winning short film, The Haunted Heart and the forthcoming full-length feature, The Family Idiot. She is also an adjunct professor at Covenant College in Georgia and co-owner of Skirt Films, an independent film production company.
--Steven James, an award-winning writer, storyteller, speaker and international seminar and conference teacher. He is author of more than 25 books, including a storytelling library of resources for educators and the bestselling Patrick Bowers thriller series.
