Meet the Author event with Bernice McFaddenJoin us on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 2pm for the Meet the Author event with bestselling author, Bernice McFadden, at Spaulding Library in Spauldings, MD.
In her latest release, Gathering of Waters, Bernice L. McFadden in her own magical way, tells the story of Emmett Till and traces the generations leading up to his murder on that terrible night in Money, Mississippi, 1955. Gathering of Waters is a deeply engrossing tale narrated by the town of Money, Mississippi–a site both significant and infamous in our collective story as a nation. Money is personified in this haunting story, which chronicles its troubled history following the arrival of the Hilson and Bryant families.
This event will be held in the newly renovated Spauldings Library, located at 5811 Old Silver Hill Road in Spauldings, MD. Books will be available for purchase on site at the event and will only be autographed if accompanied with a MahoganyBooks receipt.
This program is co-sponsored by the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System and MahoganyBooks. Visit www.MahoganyBooks.com for your must have books!
