SCENARIO
Habshi 89 was tasked by a Leader to send a message to another in an Urban Command outside, risking the Untouchables (mutant humans/plants/insects/fish) + Roamers outside. A logister confirms the farming can survive his absence. His wife, Santos 45 is already a Rearer to another and Habshi 89 will be on his journey so another , Hippo 21, will be the Rearer to their eldest male child. The protagonist meets in the antagonistic environment outside potential antagonist: a Courier looking to make his utility a failure, a Courier acting as a Rearer to a child ( unprotected ) acting as an Initiate, a Roamer merry and kind who has a secret life in the environment, a Mutant Human trying to restart their life after a tragedy, a mutant girl who can swim in water, plus various others, through various trials to reach the other Urban Command in the Untouchable World.

SCENARIO
The Harlem drug dealing outfit, led by the Black Swede,  has to survive attacks, spies, coercion , from illegal lords of the Genovese Crime family, law enforcers from the NYPD, private agents from giant pharmaceutical firms Pfizer plus Johnson and Johnson, and a deadly secret opponent bent on retaining their privacy or secrets. He is only aided by his small but effective group of allies or friends who don't want to give up this industry, for various reasons.

SCENARIO
After ruckus in the House of Representatives a film is shown with current events. Sergeant Erica battles Socialist Ama, two burlesque swordwomen,  in a burlesque battle royal, winner take all, both representing two dominant sides in the city. One wins and their legal framework dictates city law per the rules, and then the reality of their path comes to fruition and their fate meets a turn.

Architecture- Sans Souci + Citadelle LaFerriere+ Renaissance Theater of Harlem+ Works of Vertner Woodson Tandy
 
As some know I love architecture and the Sans Souci Palace+ Citadelle LAferriere in Haiti was built by the last King of the Haitians, Henri CHristophe. Both were designed by a scottish engineer to my knowledge, but the name escapes me. Both were financed by the Kingdom of Haiti which is circa to the north half of Haiti today. You have to comprehend the reasons why Haitians couldn't design it themselves. Lack of experience. Architecture truly demands experience to slowly build up the styles or qualities. Every single human community does this. But, Haiti wanted these things now and couldn't wait so they needed an outside designer. In defense, after built haitians under Henri Christophe kept it up and knew how to, it was after the King died that many things fell apart.

The Renaissance Theater of Harlem is one of the few, secular [meaning of the larger world not areligious or absent spirtuality, not solely holy or solely personal , sometimes the word sacred is used but that is a misnomer] buildings and the only one I know of in NYC, financed/designed/operated by black people originally. I rephrase, no other building for the masses,a non private residence I can think of in New York City was originally financed[who paid to make it]/designed[architecture plans]/operated[who used it when completed] by Black people. 
The Renaissance Ballroom is that. I have searched for years to get the plans , I will one day.

Vertner Woodson Tandy made two residences and one church in New York State of note all were financed by Black people. The two residenced by Madame CJ Walker. The church by its flock.

@leothefox never forget the variance between the commercial side the creative. Commerciality is not based on how an artist views their work. Commerciality is based on how the audience views an artists work. The author of sherlock holmes, made a bok called the white company. From his own perspective the white company was a better book than sherlock holmes, but the audience wanted and loved holmes. So remember that, the creative value of your work is based on your relationship to your work. but the commercial value is based on how others view your work. You suggest the creative should determine the commercial but I don't think so. I think all artists need to comprehend what they value creatively, but also learn what is commercially liked.
Stepehen king wanted to be a fantasy writer but it didn't work out commercially. His first book carrie he put in the trahs but it was a huge commercial success. I arrest my case.

When any artist creates with no financial agenda, the art has only one purpose and that is the desires of the artist. That is historically ninety nine percent of art created. When an artists creates with a financial agenda that they are paying for, the artist is gambling what they like will be adored by others so to turn a profit. You see this in various independent films or independent video games. When an artist creates with a financial agenda others are paying for, others are the primary determinant of its success. The Medici's patronage to an artist, or big hollywood studio films paying a director who is an artist, comic book companies paying artists to draw and right a graphic novel.
The problem in the art world isn't the absence of voices . Art has always been and will always be created throughout humanity, and usually with no financial agenda. The problem in the art world is the absence of voices in the paid artistic space.
Oscar Michaeux proves black people in all aspects of the film industry in the usa was present from the early 1900s. But big hollywood studioes who financed better than anyone else, didn't utlizie black artists in all ways. so today it is still seen as a rarity.
Black independent comic book makers have existed since at least the late nineteen forties, with Lion Man, and yet, the number of black characters between marvel + dc with their owncomic was so small, milestone was and still is deemed a rare gem of black title characters.
The easiest proof is in jean michel basquiat's life. When he died , people threw his art away. Now, with the promotion by many black people with money, his art work goes for millions.
When a firm is looking to make money in the arts it is looking to cater to the paying audiences tastes. In the usa what few seem to realize is the 1970s was the first decade in the history of the usa or the european colonies that preceded it where the black paying auidence could support white financed film/theater and thus the commonly called blaxploitation era which was mostly financed by whites, mostly had white directors, but had many black actors to cater to the black ticket buyers who wanted to see themselves.


Have you ever been told your vision wasn't "authentic" enough? Did a curator or a manager diminished your experience based on their own? Or perhaps you were commissioned by a client only to learn they needed a "diverse" take on the subject?
No but I havent worked for a disney or similar. I know artists who have worked in the private sector and they have stated similar.
