The main cast, the throuple, are financially steady, so that is important for the overall storytelling, this isn't a set of people financially struggling or just above poor, ala good times or sanford and son or all in the family. Did Ben sell his bookstore or did it close for lack of business? Either or is a key character point, that can be used.
