WOW! I just found this thread today, and I joined this site almost 2 years ago.
I will add my input since I've been a member since 2009 (Nov).
The board took a serious downturn around 2015 and has only gotten worse. The racism (towards Whites, Asians, Black and Jewish people), colorism, stan culture and infighting amongst the men and women has made the board absolutely intolerable.
I've left and returned so many times over the past 14.5 years, and just came back because I enjoy certain areas of the board.
I do not participate in the Stan threads at all.
I was also a former moderator (over 5 subforums) and stepped down because of the constant DMs to me that I was being perceived as giving favoritism to a certain "font"/member when I was not, and the harassing I received. I literally had an "Old Head" DM me and tell me that other members were bad mouthing me in private when I've never done anything to warrant this behavior. I've always minded my own business and enjoyed the fun.
I was always fair, provided a reasonable explanation why I infracted someone, and why that one person everyone accused me of giving favor was indeed not receiving it; that "font" made sure to NEVER act up when they knew I was lurking or responding to the same threads they were.
Also, posters do not realize that in the past, moderators assigned to certain forums, DID NOT have privileges to infract a poster if that was not their forum to moderate. So that problem font could only receive an infraction BY ME in those 5 subforums I had responsibility for.
And Troy, I checked your first post on LSA, and I can't believe I responded in their twice
