About Me

I write hopeful stories about complicated families and complex friendships. As a native of the West Bank of New Orleans who lives in Atlanta, my writing is inspired by the people, traditions, and food that keep me connected to the South. I enjoy traveling, cooking, listening to live music, and occasional bursts of fanatical bargain shopping.

As a child, I dreamed of a career in writing, fashion design, and acting. I use the pen name Rosey Lee as I pursue my passion for writing. My alter ego is a physician who has dedicated my career to individual and community-based approaches to health equity.

I love public speaking at conferences, book festivals, churches, libraries, book clubs, academic institutions, you name it. Reach out via the Contact Me page of my website if you’d like to invite me to something.
