What is the scariest film you ever saw? it need not be a film labeled horror or science fiction

  1. 1. DO you have a favorite black character , defined as a hero that lives in the end, in a film labeled horror?

I'm seeing Alien Romulus tonight, and without reading a word about it I'm already positive it's better than every sequel since ALIENS.
Fight me if you want to defend you faves. (But no Romulus spoilers!)

My reply... what is yours?
Retrospect after a published work is cheap for any writer, you develop thinking the best... BUT I think alien 3 didn't need ripley/hicks/newt/bishop at that point people would had believed the corporation who came at the end , simply set up a pod with a poor soul with an alien in it to die on the planet and experiment.  Alien resurrection primary problem is it uses time to get rid of weyland-yutani and the colonial marines and free up uses of mahcines made by machines but ignores lv-426 and the reality of time. Time is used conveniently and not honestly. For the record AVP is separate from the alien or predator franchises and has only one quality installment, the first.

The first aliens film was very good. The rest not so much.

I’m not sure why Tananarive, it’s so hyped on this new installment. I just watched the trailer and it doesn’t really peak my interest. I haven’t seen a movie in the theater since killers of the flower moon And that was because I lived in Oklahoma and read the novel on which the film was based.

I’ll probably wait till the film is streaming.

well, Tananarive due likes horror as a genre, i think , i think it is her favorite and alien as a space horror is  deep in that zone. Even though alien is very poplar space horror isn't a common movie theme to my knowledge.

ahh, did you ever review "killers of the flower moon" in here?

Nah I don review non-Black movies.  There a bazillion people doing that already. I found the film interesting, but the book was better.
