NYC's government holistically, including law enforcement started by boss tweed had always been completely corrupt, but how did so many people in nyc see government in nyc as not corrupt?

  1. 1. Once you embrace where you live has a government that will never have a certain positive quality that you want, what do you think you should do?

    • leave

My issue is that the NYPD was given an order by the law, they failed to do it. Do they go to prison? This is the truest issue with law enforcement in the usa, holistically. It has no way to be policed itself. Many people in local media talk about oversight but law enforcement is meant to be the liason of the government itself.  So when law enforcement, the liason commits crimes, who is supposed to put them in jail? who? I don't see anyone and thus the only solution for people who get stop and frisked illegally by law enforcement is to move to somewhere where they will not be OR stay in nyc and eat the crow. NYC from new amsterdam to anytime in the future was and never will be a city of equal jsutice or treatment. Never, so accept and leave or eat crow?

Below are links to the reports and you can paruse for yourself

If one has embraced that the place in which they choose to reside is corrupt and/or otherwise flawed, they have no choice but to eat crow.

OTOH, if one Is truly concerned about *fixing* the problems and making the place where they live *better*, it's time to get active politically at the local or state level.😎

 "fixing" + "better"

why do you use quotes? Are you saying fixing + better relative to each person or group? I don't comprehend how you are approaching the scenario. I assume you are referring to the whole while also allowing for the partial or the individual in this issue....

Fixing and better is relative to the person or group of people.

A problem to one person or group may not be of the same magnitude to others. Same thing applies to better.

A mansion doesn't seem any *better* than a single-family home or townhouse to someone living in a crowded apartment.😁😎

I see @ProfD

I see, this is truth outside government but in government, that is an unwise approach to the law.

Governments consistently create conditions that benefit some and do little or nothing for others.😎
