ProfD Posted December 30, 2024 Report Posted December 30, 2024 https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/jimmy-carter-death-news-12-29-24/index.html A month and a half after voting in the last election, 39th POTUS Jimmy Carter has passed away. POTUS Carter had been in hospice for almost 2 years. Also, he survived his wife, former FLOTUS Rosalynn Carter by 1 year and 1 month. We knew his time was drawing near. Fittingly, before the New Year rolls in, whatever will become of this country is no longer of concern to him. RIP POTUS Jimmy Carter. 1
Pioneer1 Posted December 31, 2024 Report Posted December 31, 2024 A lot of Black people loved the old descendant of peanut farmers. It's interesting how history often repeats itself. Just like Obama gave us Trump....Carter gave us Reagan.

Pioneer1 Posted January 1, 2025 Report Posted January 1, 2025 ProfD I was thinking that, but I also thought there was another back story that I wasn't aware of...lol. He was from Georgia so of course most well-to-do White families in the South had Black nannies raising and even breast feeding their children.
