Forgot to mention that. 

 

Different from Two Faces of Tomorrow in that rather than being an emergent AI it is a deliberate creation with a specific objective in mind. Somewhat reminiscent of Ready Player One but more serious with deep social implications.

 

I consider it to be a single story across two books rather than the second book being a sequel.
