boitumelo 190 Posted February 3, 2012 Report Share Posted February 3, 2012 BLACK HISTORY IN SOUTH CAROLINA I SAW ON TV....FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA HAS ANCESTORS ON THE SOUTH CAROLINA SLAVE PLANTATIONS....A GROUP OF BLACK WOMEN MADE A QUILT WITH IMAGE OF THE FIRST LADY IT WAS ON DSPLAY AT THE MUSEUM IN WASHINGTON DC....THEY HAVE THE SLAVE PLANTATION MUSEUM IN SOUTH CAROLINA, I THINK ,CHARLESTON,SOUTH CAROLINA..THE SWEETWATER WOMEN MAKE WEAVE BASKET LIKE THE WOMEN DO IN AFRICA...GULLAH - GEECHIE IS THE LANGUAGE OR ACCENT OF A LOT BLACK FOLKS IN SOUTH CAROLINA....FREED SLAVES BUILT THE BETHEL AME CHURCH,IT STILL STANDS.
