POTUS Threatens Chicago with National Guard

After federalizing Washington DC, POTUS OJ is threatening to take his show on the road to other cities with Black leadership.

 

Next stop could be the Windy City of Chicago. Both mayor Brandon Johnson and Gov. JB Pritzker have spoken out against it.

 

Hopefully, non-MAGA folks can see the program at work here. POTUS OJ deploying the national guard in major cities across America could be dangerous especially come election time.

Not surprising, Chicago's Mayor and Police Chief, both of whom are black , quickly responded that crime is down in Chicago  (although you wouldn't guess this if you listen to nightly local newscasts), and they do not welcome  any outside meddling.

Struggling with huge budget deficiencies, including teachers' demands, the mayor's rating are also waaay down.

Reaction to Trump's threat has been mostly along racial and party lines. Black folks just want the shootings to stop because they so often involve innocent kids. Also, a lot of the killings are the result of individuals settling personal disputes with guns, as opposed to gang violence. Break-ins and robberies remain a threat, unfortunately.

Our Democrat Governor says he hasn't heard anything official from the Trump administration and he has no intention of cooperating with it.

I don't think anybody really believes that calling out the "Nazi" Guard is the answer, especially Chicago's large Hispanic population who are too busy worrying about ICE to welcome any other government intervention. 

In answer to your question, - the picture is blurred by mixed emotions. I agree with those who complain that the  situation reeks with a fascistic police state foreboding.

 

Chicagoland does, however, seem to be  in agreement when it comes to DA BEARS. Beating KC's scrub team was fun to watch even if we'll probably  never see those scoreboard figures again.

But our hopes are alive and well. We at least have a promising backup QB.

Many folks in major cities know exactly who's responsible for committing most crimes.

 

Family members aren't going to drop dimes on their relatives and friends.

 

Public officials, law enforcement and the judicial system thrive on crime. It is job security and fuels the economy. 

 

IMO, if folks were serious about eliminating crime, it could be solved in a month or less without the national guard or any form of fascism.

Today, Illinois Democrats turned out in full, force - our Governor, Chicago's mayor, both of our U.S. Senators, and a slew of other prominent dignitaries, held an extended televised press conference, raking Trump over the coals and vowing to stand up and resist MAGA's attempt to take over the city. An impressive show of force and unity! So we'll see what comes next.

 

Bernie Sanders also stopped here on his Anti-Oligarph tour and spoke at a well-attended, enthusiastic rally.

Some within the media are reporting that POTUS OJ has set a trap for Democrats who in opposing him appear as if they don't want to solve the crime problems in their cities.

 

IMO, all of it is political theater. None of these people on either side of the aisle is doing a whole lot to improve American lives.

 

The citizens seem to accept these politicians not doing the jobs for which they were elected.

As discussed before, we know this is nothing more than a publicity stunt to pacify the concerns of silly and gullible Americans of all races, and justify the pre-conceived notions of racist White folks around world.

1. Americans of ALL races (not just White) are concerned about crime, especially violent crime.
And they want something to be done about it.
He's NOT going to do anything about it.
But simply pretending (the old folks used to say "play-tending"....lol) like he is will TRICK them into believing in him.

2. Racist White folks around the planet don't give a damn about crime, especially in America.
But Trump's constant threats of sending in soldiers to harass and arrest "criminals" helps feed into their narrative about what's wrong with America and who's causing it. 


If I were a Black politician in a major city like Chicago or Baltimore....I'd call Trump's bluff and WELCOME him sending in the National Guard....straight into the hood...to stand guard and stop violent crime.
Stand there day and night and help the police keep the gangsters and crazy folks off the street and OUT of the hood.

Send them into the prisons and county jails to stop the rapes and assaults that go on there.

That would be a great bluff. They would not send any troops because the goal isn't really to stop crime.

ICE agents are showing up too. They have gotten the immigrant community shook to the point of canceling events. Ridiculous.

If the smash and grab break-in robberies would just stop! They are reported in great detail by the TV news every night, and from the views in the security cameras,  the perpetrators apoear to be young black boys who are unloaded from SUVS to run into stores and steal merchandise after another vehicle has backed into and shattered the display windows.

These jobs are clearly the work of organized burgarlry rings who hire kids to do their dirty work, and this just muddies the picture.

Make no mistake about it. There are Chicagoans who would welcome the National Guard.

Gotta wonder whose money is behind organizing both protests and burglary rings.

 

I remember when folks in Atlanta were being given bricks to smash windows during George Floyd protests.

 

Most recently, the Israel-Gaza conflict protesters on college campuses were being funded by outsiders.

 

It's similar to how illegal guns and drugs show up in certain cities. 

 

There's dark money behind both sides of every issue. The burglary rings could have been created to reinforce the narrative that the national guard help is needed. 

 

Funny thing is the national guard doesn't have any police powers. Their presence in Chi-town would only last until they leave.

As I said before, IF Trump does send the Guard OR Federal Police (or both) to Chicago, it WON'T be to stop or even reduce crime.
It will be for SHOW.
They will be stationed in tourist areas and downtown.
Places to make White folks, tourists, visitors, and people with money in general feel more comfortable.
They will NOT be placed where they are actually needed.

As far as those smash-n-grabs......
Tariq Nasheed goes in on this from time to time saying that the vast majority of these incidents involve MASKED criminals who have nearly every part of their bodies covered.
It has been discovered that....atleast on the West Coast...the vast majority of the thieves are actually non-Black.  
Asian, Latino, and White juveniles who are being orchestrated and used by criminal syndicates.
But these incidents are being BLAMED on Black youth despite the fact that their faces and even skins are rarely seen.
The media seems to also be linking these smash-n-grab burglaries in with "flash mobs" which often ARE groups of Black youth who meet up to party and hang-out.
Flash-mobbing a mall or liquor store or street corner just to clown around shouldn't be conflated with organized theft rings targetting high-end stores.
