Media Decorum in High Profile Cases

Featured Replies

Several high-profile cases involving white folks shows the lengths whites are willing to protect even those most guilty person until convicted.

Decisions are made regarding:

1) attire

2) grooming

2) shackles

3) courtroom photographs

4) media coverage

I won't give perpetrator names as it's easy enough to look them up. They don't deserve a shout-out here either.

White folks want their criminals to get the most fair trial. They don'tdemonize them until guilt is proven beyond reasonable doubt. Still, they believe these people can be rehabilitated. That's why they're slow to consider the death penalty.

Suicide watch is the most hilarious aspect of white folks protecting their own. They don't even want a death row candidate to take their own life. Nevermind the money it would save taxpayers.

There's no shortage of examples of the system of racism white supremacy at work both in terms of how it is applied to non-whites and benefits whites.😎

Excellent observation bro.

In my opinion, the FIRST question that needs to be asked is....if under this system a person is presumable "innocent" until proven guilty...then why are their names and pictures even ALLOWED to be published in the media for their trial and possible conviction?
That doesn't sit well with me.

You got a homicide or embezzlement scandal and you're flashing faces and names all over the damn screen and in some cases these people haven't even been arrested yet.
They aren't even suspects yet....just "persons of interest".
You've already smeared their reputation in society.

But more to what you're talking about.......

Another way they try to 'endear" the public to White suspects is constantly blaming their crimes and misbehavior on "mental health".
A good example is that recent case where they CLAIM a Black man on a train down in North Carolina stabbed a White girl from Ukraine.
According to several sources that man actually was a diagnosed schizophrenic who should have been in an institution getting the help he needed......not in and out of jail and on the streets.
Yet most media outlets didn't report THAT aspect of him.
They just showed his picture all over the place and talked about how violent he was and left his mental problems out of the story.

But when a White man STOCK PILES weapons and makes entire diaries about how he's planning to kill multiple people before actually doing so....you still have people who will go out their way to make excuses for him and claim his "ADHD" made him do it or that he has "social anxiety disorder" and that made him snap.

Ridiculous....the lengths these people will go to.

This is noteworthy report.
"Sean Grayson, a former Sangamon County sheriff's deputy, was found guilty of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old Black woman who had called 911 for help. The incident occurred on July 6, 2024

- Massey called 911 to report a suspected prowler outside her home.
- Grayson and another deputy responded to the call.
- Inside her home, Grayson ordered Massey to put down a pot of hot water on the stove.
- Grayson claimed he believed Massey might throw the water at him and feared for his life, leading him to shoot her.
- Body-camera footage showed Grayson drawing his gun, ordering Massey to drop the pot, and then firing three shots, one of which struck her in the face.
- The jury deliberated for about two days before reaching a verdict.
- Grayson was found guilty of second-degree murder, a charge that carries a potential sentence of 4 to 20 years in prison.
- The jury could have convicted Grayson of first-degree murder, which could have resulted in a life sentence."

The partner of the defendent testified against him, saying he didn't thinknthe victim posed a threat. There was one black male in the jury.

The victim's  family has filed a multi.million dollar wrongful death suit against law enforcement authorities in Peoria. Illinois, which is where the crime occurred.

I'm cautiously optimistic with the verdict.

The charges were downgraded which means less prison time.

Let's see how the judge goes about sentencing the cold-blooded murderer.😎

I'm not sure about this particular case, however a lot of times the prosecution itself will downgrade the charges in the hope that it will increase the chances of conviction.

If a person is charged with 1st Degree murder, an experienced Prosecutor may see that charge is so tough that even if a jury feels the person is guilty....the don't want to convict them because the sentencing may be too harsh.
So the Prosecution will downgrade the charges to a level they think the jury may find more "understanding" to ensure a conviction.

*I wonder how many people forgot that this DEVIL actually killed her after she said, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus" ?

You're right. That's exactly why they downgrade charges.

White folks conveniently downgrade charges against their own to avoid harsh punishment.

If they even believe in religion, white folks don't practice the religion they handed down to Black folks.😎
