This is the kind of wake-up call that let's non-white folks who believe they have been accepted by white folks realize there is a ceiling.

 

Vivek Ramaswamy is running for governor of Ohio. The people in his own political party have let him know for the 2nd time after his failed POTUS bid that they aren't down with having an Indian in charge of their state or country. 

 

Many Indians, Hispanics and Asians believe they are either white or white-adjacent and have been accepted by white folks.

 

If they don't play the game correctly, white folks will let Brown and Yellow folks know they're not really white.

 

Ramaswamy is Harvard educated and rich. Not only does he believe he's been accepted by white folks but also thinks being wealthy makes him elite too. He talks in a condescending manner as if he's the smartest person in the building.

 

Average white folks will let Ramaswamy know he's not above nor is he one of them.

...what virtually NONE of these non-Whites understand is that they are caught between two opposing groups of White folks with conflicting ideas and agendas.

The wealthy elite Whites brought them into America for cheap labor and to act as buffers between them and AfroAmericans.
That's who sponsor them and that's who support them.

The poor and working class Whites feel they are taking their jobs, ruining America with their foreign cultural habits, and generally hate them and want them gone.

This confuses the shit out of most of these non-Whites because they feel that White folks love them one minute and hate them the next....lol.

I think these types of people would much rather be 2nd class honorary white citizens instead of 1st class citizens among their own people.

Only difference is, most Black folks who do this KNOW they're still a nigga and rarely get it in their minds that they are the "same" as White folks.
These other non-Whites....most of them actually think they ARE White.
Not just "closer" to White...but ARE White.

Especially the Indians.
Some Asians like Koreans and Japanese think the are just "honorary" White folks but for some reason....as soon as they get over here some of the Blackest Indians will start parting their hair sideways and calling themselves "Caucasian"....lol.

Think of the House Negro who reasoned that it was better living in the attic of his Massa's house, wearing second hand clothes, and eating left over food from his Massa's table.....than living in his own log cabin, eating beans and hog guts, and wearing rags that his wife has to patch together to keep his dick from hanging out while working....lol.

Sometimes you have to look at things IN CONTEXT and don't let perfection get in the way of progress.

If you'll recall, not so long ago I pondered the idea of AfroAmericans accepting legal "second class citizens status" if it GUARANTEED us a solidified socio-economic spot above every other race and ethnic group in the U.S. except Anglo-Saxon White folks.
It's not ideal, but it's better than being last.

You're right in that context is everything.

 

Despite the circumstances, I grew up in an environment where Black folks were encouraged to be successful. We were never told to strive for 2nd class. 

 

My upbringing and the life I've built afford me a certain perspective. I cannot relate to Black folks having to accept less.

 

IMO, our people are way too gifted, talented and intelligent to settle for less than 1st class.
