Looks like a pretty good restaurant.
A restaurant I'd like to visit in the near future when I have the opportunity.

But something very crucial is missing from this article; can anyone tell me what it is?

Location is missing. Midtown can be anywhere.

 

No interview with the chef. No pictures of the building inside & outside.

I thought it was a pretty decent restaurant and wanted to know where it was and maybe check it out and kept looking for an actual CITY and didn't see one.
Like you said,  "Midtown" could be any city.
Plenty of cities have Midtown districts.

Detroit has one.
Atlanta has one.
...and ofcourse New York has one.

After doing a quick "reverse engineering"....lol....it's in Kansas City, Missouri.
I don't remember the last time I was there, but I'm making a mental note to check it out whenever I DO go back there.
