Sometimes I wonder if this civilization is actually running out of ideas and has resorted to recycling the same technology and just relabeling it to fool the masses.

Renaming stuff has been around for a long time.

I remember when trash truck men became sanitation specialists & janitors were reclassified as custodians.

Most people probably don't remember that PC actually stands for Personal Computer.

Telephones have gone from wire & hand-held speaker/mic to a fully integrated computer one carries around as a cellphone (cellular device).

Politics & technology often change how we see & name & do things.

It's been ongoing since automobiles became cars.😎
