The average CEO pay at these firms is 325 times that of their average employee which is about $85k dollars per year.CEO compensation is tied to the stock market & how the company makes money for its shareholders. It has little or nothing to do wirh how well the company produces products, goods & services benefiting the American people.What keeps the pay gap intact is the number of people who benefit directly or indirectly from the wealth of others. Billionaires & multimillionaires are allowed to thrive as long as enough crumbs travel downhill to enrich others to varying degrees. Capitalism at its finest.😎 Report
48 minutes ago48 min comment_83423 ProfDWhat exactly do these dudes DO that warrants them to be paid so much?I've worked in places where you have the owner(s) AND the President AND the CEO all at the top.I can understand the owner hiring somebody to take care of the grunt work so they could lounge around all day, but you don't need SEVERAL men to do that.I thought about it as a kid but didn't hear anybody else mention it until I heard Neely Fuller Jr. repeat the same observation during an interview with Mr.Bobby (you remember Mr.Bobby don't you....lol) when he asked what do these "business men" do all day in these buildings?You see them get up early to go into these buildings dressed up in suits with brief cases and they walk out at the end of the day and get into expensive cars and drive away to expensive homes.But what are they doing?"Business"....but what kind of "business"?????Busy as hell.....doing what?Walking fast up and down the streets of New York and Chicago in suits with brief cases in their hands...stressed out....over what?Busy....too busy to stop and talk?Just enough time to grab a cup of coffee and a roll then run into the building....to have meetings!Meetings about what????Sometimes I wonder if it's just a bunch of White folks sitting up deciding how to divide all of the money they generated from the printing presses of the National Treasury....lol.
