Children among 109 dead after migrant boat capsizes off Africa

At least 109 migrants, including 15 children, have died after a boat capsized while sailing from Djibouti to Yemen, a UN agency said on Sunday.

The boat, which was carrying about 350 people, capsized near Guhere, north of Obock — a port town in Djibouti — during the evening of October 8, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said, citing survivor accounts.

Among the 109 bodies recovered are 52 men, 42 women and 15 children, including nine girls and six boys.

Djiboutian authorities are continuing search and rescue operations for the more than 116 who remain missing.

More than 80 people survived the shipwreck, all Ethiopian nationals, the report said. IOM is assisting 64 survivors at its Obock Migrant Response Centre (MRC)

But why do some of these niggas keep piling up in boats and sailing away from their own countries, even taking their little children with them?
Many of them don't even know HOW to build boats, navigation, or even how to swim.
Just so eager and desperate to get away from....whatever they're trying to escape from.

Every fucking week you keep reading about stories like this.
A boat full of migrants sinking off of one coast or another.
If they aren't trying to float to some part of Arabia....they're trying to float to some part of Europe.


Don't they have any desire to STAY and BUILD up their own homes?

I don't blame the kids, or even the women....but the men.

Sometimes I just want to buy a ticket and FLY over there to Africa just to see what's going on there myself.

Is it all lies?
Is it all propaganda?
Is it White folks and Arabs exploiting them?
Or are they fucking up their own nations and then running away to go live amongst the White folks?

Are they being persecuted and are trying to run away from oppression?
Because that's understandable.
....or is it laziness and lack of desire to build from the ground up and would rather run away and go to a place where somebody else already built it up?

I can't get angry at Africans alone because the Latinos are doing the same thing here in America; but I see more UNITY among the Latinos and less tribalism.
They also seem to be more apt to send money back home and help build up their nations instead of coming here and saying "fuck back home".

Months ago, I saw a picture.....a cartoon....that Tariq Nasheed put up one day showing a bunch of Africans running to get some food that White folks in a helicopter dropped off and it featured a whole grown man kicking a woman and child to the side and out of the way as HE runs towards the copter to get some food for himself while a couple other men are trying to climb on to the helicopter and get away....fuck the women and children, lol.

I thought it was a cruel and offensive cartoon....but I wonder how close it was to what's really going on over there in some places.

It can't be accident, because the pattern of Europeans and Arabs doing better than Africans (in general) is too consistent for it to be a coincidence.

It's something they're doing that the Africans aren't.

I understand that many of these African nations and communities are ran by dictatorships and oppressive regimes.
Why don't the dictators force the people to build up the country?

In other words...
If you're a dictator and stealing money, that doesn't stop you from seeing that the buildings are crumbling and the roads are muddy and dirty.

Being the dictator or king should make things even EASIER to get done since it's an autocracy and they don't have to answer to anybody else.

Force the people to work and build up the country like North Korea.

But at some point PRIDE should kick in with some of these men.
It would seem that many of them would be too ashamed to leave their countries and go abroad while being so defeated and living in such destitution at home.
