Troy Posted July 11, 2017 Report Posted July 11, 2017 Read Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Article: "Wisconsin's only black-owned bookstore closes, leaving memories — and a void" After 28 years, Carla Allison is retiring and with her, the last black-owned bookstore in Wisconsin closed on Saturday (July 8th). Troy Posted July 11, 2017 Author Report Posted July 11, 2017 In this case, it appears, the owner simply retired and the store went with her. I guess there was no need for a Go Fund me page; if no one was interested in ensuring the store continued.
