Synopsis: Cute for a Black Girl is a coming of age suspense novel about a Black female who is adopted by a White male and attends a school in which she is the only person of African American descent.  She is bright and beautiful but insecurity develops as she is met with constant belittling by her peers and people in her community.  She has two friends who are dealing with their own insecurities for various reasons. A series of unfortunate events find Chloe in a comatose state.  Her friends and family must overcome their differences to unite, discover the truth, and get justice for Chloe.
