I still don't have an opinion on this topic but I am trying to understand.

However, when I watched this video about a month ago, I kept thinking about how this topic has been addressed here and can see this subject is not just confined to a small group of people here in America, but other people in other countries seem to be making similar statements about the power of social media and certain sites.

Some of the comments about this video are eye opening for me:

WION is hands down the best thing that ever happened to India's news media industry. A true example not just for the nation but the global stage

Interesting video and dovetails nicely with my comments against social media's power.

The quote from the video "whoever controls the flow of information controls the world." pretty much sums it up.

I'm sure most Americans feel, as long as we are in control, who cares right?

It really does. You've been making this contention and when I saw this video, it just floored me!

It is an old story @Chevdove our media has always been biased on one level or another.  It has just getting progressively worse in my opinion.

The bias in the educational system is even more worrisome and is one of the motivations for me running the this site.

Having a global perspective can help.
