Biography of Toni Lee
Lee was a documentary filmmaker, freelance line producer and production manager for more than twenty-two years in Atlanta, Georgia, working on PBS, TBS and commercial projects as well as independent films. She also taught screenwriting workshops and classes at Clayton State College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, Jackson State university and more as a visiting artist and adjunct. During that time, she freelanced for several publications including UPSCALE Magazine.
After 22 years in the industry, she retrained in mental and emotional health, and as an addictions counselor for the State of Georgia, and Emotional Freedom Techniques and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner before opening a nonprofit for Veterans experiencing post-traumatic stress and military sexual trauma. She ran that organization for twelve years before retiring and has returned to writing.
Her work ranges from children’s books, short stories to novels.
