Notes:

Our history began when the idea of two sistah’s manifested. Reba & Loletha created a forum where African-American women could promote unity, establish trust, promote culture awareness, provide support, and connect women of color through literature & sisterhood. We have successfully provided an environment where women of diverse backgrounds can come together to discuss an array of books, and ideas which is addressed from the feminine prospective. Since our tenure began in 2000, we are ecstatic to see our idea flourish into 2 new Chapters in Denver, Colorado & Jacksonville, Florida. It is hoped that these forums will spawn into a sisterhood among those who participate. Our ‘Swapp’ meets are generally held every six weeks, and is hosted by one of our members. We collectively chose to read books written by African-American authors. We read an array of books referencing finances, health, fiction, and non-fiction. Each hostess selects the book of her choice, as well as the location of her ‘Swapp’ meet.
