Sisters In Spirit book club is comprised of a group of diverse women of all races, ages and economical backgrounds, that reads books written by African American authors. S.I.S is a book club which fosters sisterhood among women in Maryland and the surrounding areas, that posses a passion for literature, enjoy cultural events and can appreciate the beauty of Sisterhood. Reading books provides the tools necessary for self enrichment, and a connection with the world. It is also a forum to meet interesting and well rounded women and form lasting friendships. We make the monthly meetings lively and sometimes entertaining discussions. Books are chosen by host of the coming month or by group consensus. I keep a running list of books and authors and anyone can add to the list. Selections will consist of African American authors of fiction, non-fiction. Biographies, classics, romance, mysteries, inspirational/self-help etc. We meet the 3rd Sunday of the month.
