We currently have African American female members but looking to expand depending on how things go. Currently we are not accepting male members and we only read fiction (no self help or biographies). We range from ages 28 -50 and we all have very different personalities. We currently meet on every 3rd Sunday of the month at around noon. Each member gets the opportunity to select a book of their choice and facilitate a meeting. The facilitator either gives the meeting at a restaurant of their choice or their home. If the meeting is given at their home we ask that you contribute $20.00 to cover the food/drinks at the meeting to the facilitator. We have NO CHILDREN at our meetings EVER! :-) This is a time for us to discuss the book and lots of other things. If you are easily offended by language or different subjects this may not be the club for you. We are tasteful but sometimes we do talk about grown up things. Some of us are very direct where others are not as verbal which has made for a very productive group.
