Notes:

Kueleza means to enlighten. We read various works by African-American authors, contemporary and classical. We engage in exciting discussions on many different topics both relative to our books and current events (locally and nationally); or simply bonding in sisterhood. Our goal is to meet once a month to review works of African-American authors. Meetings rotate to the home of different members on a volunteer basis. Traditionally, the hostess picks the book to read for the month she hosts. We break for two months during the summer which is when we host our Summer Socials which in 1998 included traveling to a Wine Festival for a little tasting and fun in the sun.
