A Book Club is an organization operating exclusively to promote the unity of the black race, encourage personal growth, and provide a meaningful and a worthwhile social experience. The club was formed in August 2001 in Spartanburg, South Carolina out of the desire to enrich knowledge, power, and fellowship with a group of professional women and men. The club consist of ten elite African American women who come together once a month to discuss a previous selected novel.
