Sistah's Keeping It Read of TN (SKIRT) from Nashville, TN

We currently are a group of approximately 14 intelligent, diverse, African American women based in the (Metropolitan) Nashville area who share a common love of reading. We enjoy supporting the works of African American authors who challenge our perceptions and make us question their views. Members rotate hosting duties on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 2PM (except December) to critique the chosen book, share life experiences and discuss current events while we eat. We have invited local authors to share in our discussions and enjoy outings to the movies, dinner or plays. Our mission is to offer members an opportunity to enrich and expand their minds through the written word while providing an outlet to build meaningful friendships.
