The Ministry meets on the 4th Friday of each month, except in February when we celebrate our anniversary with a dinner and play outing or invite an author to speak (past authors in attendance: Sharon Ewell Foster and Stanice Anderson); in August we're on summer break and December we take a Christmas break. We read christian novels and spirituality books and autobiographies. We always have a potluck dinner prior to starting our meeting and sometimes the dinner menu is worthy of serious discussion before we dig into the book. We have supported a prison ministry by collecting and donating books and magazines to the female inmates. November 2004 we celebrated National Children's Reading Month by taking some children to a local bookstore and allowing them to select a book of his/her choice and purchasing it. We look forward to having new members and meeting new authors in the coming years.
