What would you do if you wanted something so much, but your parents could not afford to get it for you?

Obumbuchi, known as Obum by all, loves bikes. He wants one badly. Kene, Obum’s classmate, has a bicycle and a lot of friends. Kene lets his friends ride his bike. Obum envies Kene. "I want to have lots of friends too. And I’ll allow them to ride my bike as well. I’ll be able to run errands faster," Obum says to himself.

Obumbuchi is a good student and an excellent basket weaver. His parents want to buy him a bike, but they cannot afford it. His mother suggests that he give up his playtime and make baskets. She’ll sell the baskets and save up the money to get him a bike on his birthday; however, he must maintain his good academic standing.

Will Obum give up playing with his friends and weave more baskets to get a bike?

While most siblings are rivals, Akie and his little brother are the best of friends. They love singing while flying kites, one big kite for Akie, and one small kite for Ebuka. Akie and Ebuka don’t intend to disobey their parents, but as they follow the trails of an airplane flying low over their house, they do the unthinkable. Ebuka employs lies and tricks to keep their mother in the dark, to buy time, and to help his brother. Will their parents forgive them?
