One Hour To Wealth was the first book in a series where I provide real life examples of launching a business. What I’ve realized is that there are countless books that give instruction and advice and those books also tell you how to implement that advice. What is always, always, always missing from those books is real, tangible, examples of how implementing that advice actually works. In One Hour To Wealth I gave you a workshop section. This time I give you further evidence and numbers and then back it up with inspirational examples and proof in the 30 day project.

In The 30 Day Project, I take the advice and examples that I wrote about in One Hour To Wealth and give more statistics and analysis to help you develop your project into something better, something amazing. What I’ve realized is that my pitch to you is not that of a motivational speaker, or a life coach, my pitch is that I can generate ideas and actually show you the proof that tenacity and dedication can move you in the right direction.

The 30 Day Project, like One Hour To Wealth, is full of information that analyzes how I attempted to get traffic to reach potential clients. For example, there is a chapter on how much money I spent to generate traffic to ARCH; my footwear and apparel company. That chapter also shows you the increase in traffic and how I used that information to shape how I would sell a shoe that no one has really heard of. There are articles on promotion in social media. Instead of telling you simply to work every day, I tear down my own social media to see how it will affect traffic to my websites. The book also has sections of inspiration supported by my own commitment to a 30 Day Project.

Stories typically adhere to a format that allows for a manipulation of characters and situations. A story usually revolves about a central theme which allows the plot to develop. I have found that often, when you attempt to create a work of fiction, you find yourself hindered by questions of form. Do you use a first person or third person omniscient voice? Will you foreshadow what will come in the later chapters early in the book, or just before what you believe will be the climax? I recently began work on a novel and from the extensive amount of research and time I placed into understanding the era in which the novel is set, I found myself overcome by emotions that ranged from anger and frustration, to pride and happiness. I discovered a lot about what writing means to me. In an attempt to break myself out of a rather long writer’s block, I began to write about anything that I thought of, an attempt at fighting my way out of a corner. Hence the choppiness of this work. I revised the poems and the flash fictions but, I felt that it was important to maintain the concept of addressing what I was trying to understand and comprehend in each section. - from the Epilogue

Archie’s Psalm is a glimpse into the life of a latchkey kid who is encountering situations that force him to learn about the changing world around him. A coming of age story with a carefully crafted narrative and subplot, Archie’s Psalm shows the transitioning world of a neighborhood in Memphis, TN ten years after Dr. King’s death. Through the setting, vivid character descriptions and moving storytelling a hot and humid southern neighborhood comes to life. Through the use of dialect and song the shifting tone and sound of the south reminds the reader of Zora Neale Hurstons’ novels. A work of literature that is artistic, powerful and important. A book that could become as relevant as Ann Petry’s The Street.

Stages: A Handbook on Men and Relationships There are four stages men go through before settling down with one woman, according to Terrence Matthews. If a man hasn’t encountered each stage he will never be ready for marriage. Terrence relays his Stages theory to the reader as he tells of his own movement through these phases.

It only takes one time for a man to be hurt before he turns bad. Unlike women, men… Well, let’s say men don’t have the recovery capabilities that women own. Darryl Cartier no longer wants to be wrong, but the choices made in the past force him into a new sense of understanding how it all works. As funny as it seems the one thing that can make a man ‘get right’ could be the one thing that prevents true happiness. A Man’s State of Mind is a book that was written before its time. The author created the novella without realizing the book would be so relevant ten years later. The original goal was to simply write a book that dealt with Black women and their relationships with Black men. It is not the typical relationship novel that deals with, ‘he say, she say.’ The book tackles issues with enough tact and care to make the storyline lighthearted and subtle in its approach to a serious topic. This is an important book that deserves attention and discussion.
