Now ProfD, I respect you and your intelligence...however...... This is what Obama would call a "fundamental disagreement".....lol. We don't misunderstand eachother; both of our positions are crystal clear....we just DISAGREE.....lol. Unless that woman is his BIOLOGICAL MOTHER (and even then shit can happen!).....a man would be a FOOL if his half-way decent woman and his adolescent/adult sone are living in the same home together and it never crosses his mind that they may be having a sexual relationship behind his back. I'm sorry, there is no other way for me to reason or explain this besides it simply being common sense that any man should have. He should just naturally think about this possibility! Now if the son is a baby or even 8 or 9 year old, ofcourse my lady having some sort of relationship with my son would be one of the last things I'd suspect her of. However if that boy is 14 or 15 or older. Now wait a minute...... That doesn't mean a man should be laying up in bed every night looking up at the ceiling all night long twiddling his thumbs and wondering, or installing cameras and shit in the house trying to catch them in some sort of act. It simply means that there is a CHANCE that it can happen and he needs to keep his eyes and ears open and be aware of how they conduct themselves around eachother.

Detroit might have come up at some point after testing in DC, Chicago and Memphis. Sure. Folks are smart enough to chill out until the dust settles. No different from someone stomping out a cigarette or weed when authority figures show up. Not really. 30 days isn't long enough for permanent change. Folks will go back to business as usual. The real question is why can't the local police instill the same level of fear.

It is not my style here to call folks out. Of course, the government continues the most essential services. There are contingency funds for those things. However, if/when there is a lapse in appropriations (no money), used to fund a fiscal year, the government shuts down non-essential services. That's why national parks, museums, museums and other federal facilities will close during a shutdown. The money that goes into SNAP benefits is included in the appropriation. Without it, benefits cannot be paid. POTUS has to sign the budget (appropriations) every year by October 1st. If a budget or CR (Continuing Resolution) is not signed, there is a government shutdown. That is your Cliff Notes US Government lesson.

They weren't deployed in Michigan. My handful of relatives in the DMV said...as you...they were only deployed in the tourist areas of the city. I imagine the same is in Chicago and Memphis. My relatives in Chicago said they haven't seen them. What I think happened was the GANGSTAS....who aren't very politically aware and don't focus on the news much...heard Trump was sending the troops in and assumed they were going to slide through the hood like an avalanche with automatic weapons crushing everything in sight...so they ran up in the house and hid, lol. Well.... Whatever the hell their intention and strategy was, it made a lot of these fools get some ACT RIGHT. And just like announcing their deployment made some of these clowns put the gats away and go into hiding....announcing their departure will probably have the OPPOSITE effect.

Think Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King or Senators Lindsey Graham and Corey Booker. Mayor Bowser adopted a child a few years ago. There is a woman who has always been around her too. They don't broadcast her s8xuality. She doesn't either for the most part. Gotta read between the lines i.e. her moves.

ProfD Beyond appropriations law and all that stuff taught in US Government classes...it is definitely a game. When I was in highschool I was too busy chasing coochie (and wondering why it was so hard to catch up with) to pay attention in class...lol. So don't pull a richardmurray on me and bless me out for know knowing all of the intricate details about how the government actually works. However if the government is still funding the FBI and other policing agencies and those agencies are still operating, surveilling, and arresting people, then the government is NOT shut down....despite whatever the hell it's being "called". If the government is still giving out BILLIONS of dollars to other nations in foreign aid DURING the alleged shut down, there is no excuse not to pay air traffic controllers and SNAP beneficiaries...except if they were INTENTIONALLY being targeted and denied payment for whatever reason. If the government "shut down" for 40 days....how were the post offices able to operate? What about the armed forces? There is no such thing as a "government shut down". It's just a MEME used to distract the public. It's really INTENTIONAL NEGLECT of TARGETED institutions as a way of disrupting people's live to the point that they'll put pressure on their Representatives to cave to the demands of the opposition.

ICE raids and National Guard troop deployment in major Black cities made white folks feel like law and order was being restored in their country. Funny thing is white folks living in Blue cities were not adversely affected by crimes there. Just like anywhere else in the USA, the victims and perpetrators of crime are usually of the same race. I find it amusing that folks can mind somebody else's business instead of cleaning up their own backyard. I even read an article earlier today where some "judge" is ordering hundreds of immigrants that ICE actually rounded up and detained NOW must be let go and released back into the public! Sure is funny how Trump can do whatever he wants to do without opposition but when it comes to doing something that looks like it may be having any type of POSITIVE impact....all of a sudden some "federal judge" out of nowhere and steps in. When Biden sent all of those feds on horseback down to the border with actual whips to drive Haitian immigrants back across to Mexico...funny how no "federal judges" stepped in to stop that.

First of all, the fact that a national government can actually "shut down" or "close down" should make people suspicious that this is all just one big game. The United States government isn't a McDonalds or Jiffy Car Wash franchise designed to lock it's doors and "close down". It's a GOVERMENT which means it operates 24/7 365. That's like you telling your children the home is "shutting down" and you refuse to feed them. It makes no sense. You're just refusing to feed them because you're REFUSING TO FEED THEM. You don't read anything about a "government shut down" in the U.S. Constitution. Because it didn't exist. Any services that were stopped were INTENTIONALLY STOPPED with the desired effect of causing chaos. The police were still arresting people. The prisoners in Federal prisons were still kept. The payments of foreign aid continued to get issued out to other countries. So what's with air traffic controllers not being paid and there not being enough money for food stamps? It's all MADE UP. They didn't "run out" of funds, they arbitrarily DENIED payments to these people for a desired effect and used Congressional disagreement as an EXCUSE. I personally think they designed this situation to cause chaos and instability in society. Kind of like how traffic lights and street lights will go out in an entire half of a major city and they'll blame it on a "solar flare". Like you said and like we discussed in another thread, Democrats are just CONTROLLED opposition. They're working right along with Republicans to get the same Agenda pushed and passed but just PRETENDING to oppose it and PRETENDING to put up a little resistance so that their supporters will continue to have a little more faith in them and not replace them with REAL opposition.

Family or not, most men with good sense know that if other straight MAN is living with them, there's a possibility of them boning their woman.

After 43 days of hand-wringing, Democrats caved in on a piece of legislation that reopens the government. SNAP benefits restored. Air traffic controllers and other folks will get paid. Surely, the Democrats got something in return...yeah no. Adding insult to injury, the Democrats are crashing out against each and pointing fingers at who's responsible for this cluster f8ck. Right now, I do not see how Democrats plan to reclaim the House and Senate and White House any time within the next several years. The Democratic party is still weak, spineless and rudder-less. They need a makeover and agenda to overtake the ruthless Republicans.

POTUS OJ insulted all Americans when he said they were not talented enough to do future jobs. They're gonna bring in chosen immigrants to train American workers. Maybe he's on to something...especially if those same dumbazz Americans voted for him.
