Long Term Drug Abuse And Brain Damage
Pioneer1 replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
When the Witnesses come knocking at my door I don't hide from them or pretend I'm not home, I INVITE THEM IN...lol. Makes see tea or coffee and invite them for a religious discussion. By the time the water gets hot or the coffee is finished brewing....they're usually down the street knocking on somebody else's door and looking back at me smiling and quickly looking in another direction...LOL. -
Not really. I grew up in a religious family. Spent many years being dragged to church too. I'm not religious because I know the contradictions and hypocrisy of it. Despite my agnosticism, I don't discourage others from their beliefs. Like drugs and alcohol, if religion allows people to escape or deal with this reality, as long as they aren't bringing hurt, harm or danger to others, I'm not one to get in their way. Now, when folks run up on me with their religious stuff, I have no problems giving them the bizness. Especially those Jehovah Witness folks.

That explains why you're not religious. Perhaps you haven't been in a situation that you couldn't see your way out of and lost hope. Those type of situations often drive people to drugs, alcohol, or religion as a way to escape the frustration of not being able to deal with the situation. -
Hey! I hear yall muthafuckaz talkin' out there! Yall ain't hidin' SHIT from me OR Dolemite! That nigga go find out ONE way ah'nutha! Fuckin' with that narcotic... Absolutely not. it doesn't bother me one bit because I've always been extremely self-confident and a go-getter. Because I've always been able to get whatever I need and/or want, I've never had a reason to be jealous or envious of anyone else. I'm 100% human. Because I function at a high level but tend to be emotionally cold, some folks have accused me of being a robot.

Long Term Drug Abuse And Brain Damage

ProfD I remember having a conversation with you a while back about musicians, drug use, and creativity.....and you stating that you didn't use drugs and didn't need it for your musical abilities. Not that you're not already honest, but be PERFECTLY honest.....lol...... Does it bother you at all that some dude with a Crack or Heroin problem and has been on the shit for years but was born with some sort of talent can come up in a studio and make a HIT song or even album and a shit load of money on it? Get all that money. Fuck all of it up in dope. Then do it all over again next year? *PS Man, if you say "no"....I'm going to question whether YO' ass is human or AI....lol -
It's all good. The entertainment industry is filled with folks flip flopping back and forth across them streets. Because we live in a *free* society, folks get to treat it like a seafood buffet when it comes to relationships. Rest assured that most people tend to stay within their own racial or ethnic group.
-
They were born compromised. Unfortunately, we do not have the technological capability of fixing those birth defects. Several factors go into becoming successful including preparation, opportunities and luck. There's no rationalization for why some folks win without trying while others try really hard and do *right* only to come up short. Also, keep in mind that just as some folks are born with birth defects, there are other folks whon are born gifted and/or talented in different ways.

ProfD That's what I get for having a lazy moment....lol. Something told me to GOOGLE Chaka before posting that.....lol. Man, these sistaz....... But BLACK MEN are the ones who get criticized.

Long Term Drug Abuse And Brain Damage

I too have some relatives, some friends, and some acquaintances who fit this description also. Some of whom are more financially well off than I am. Many of them were also more socially successful. Able to talk their way into any type of relationship be it financial, sexual, social, business, etc.; like you said...not while they're high....but when they were sober. Again, this didn't describe MOST of the alcoholics or addicts that I knew and know...but a percentage of them. I'd say less than 10% of the alcoholics and drug addicts that I knew were high achievers in something. But the vast majority of them fell into the NORMAL range of intellect. On the flip side, there are plenty of people with Autism and Retardation who never drank, use drugs, or smoked a cigarette....but this didn't improve their intellect. At the risk of sounding a bit jealous...... Although I don't think they were necessarily rewarded for doing the "wrong" thing, it's a bit confusing and frustrating at how some people who constantly do the "wrong" thing can end up in a better position than those who supposedly did the "right" thing. We do know that excessive drugs and alcohol kills off braincells. So I'm wondering did they have an excess amount of "disposable" braincells or something that they could afford to fuck them up and STILL have a well functioning brain...lol. -
Chaka Khan is my favorite singer on the planet. Yet, Chaka she went across the street back in the 1970s: Before Chaka married Richard Holland, she was married to Hassan Khan: Chaka also lived in Germany for a while. As a free spirit, I would be surprised if she didn't have a German escapade too.

Some of my favorite relatives fit into that category. Right. Liver gets the worst of abuse. Lungs and heart take a beating too. Your dad had enough of some fat white man in a suit getting credit for his hard work. Capitalists don't give a d8mn about which class of people are using drugs and alcohol. They're all about getting paid one way or three. Drug and alcohol use and abuse feeds into many other aspects of the economy. Right. They will push anything it takes to make people feel more productive. Instead of getting the proper amount of sleep and rest, folks are pushing themselves to cram more awake time into their endeavors whether it's work, school or play. Energy drinks and pills are gateway drugs.
-
They could have them too. One doesn't have enough ass and the other sounds too much like a man. I'll let you decide who fits which description...lol But if they would have taken CHAKA KHAN..... That would have been WAR...lol

Relax bro. This sh8t ain't new. Diana Ross and Tina Turner jumped over to the other side too. The Earth is on schedule to survive another 5 billion years. There will be a human reset within 100 years. We will be extinct in 1,000 years or so.

"Matthew Lawrence had a second chance at love with Chilli. 'I wouldn’t have been ready for this type of relationship in my early 20s. No way,' Lawrence, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly while discussing his upcoming Hallmark+ reality series, Second Chance Love. Lawrence and Chilli, 54, will serve as cohosts and executive producers for the show, which was filmed on location in Sardinia, Italy. Second Chance Love sees five couples reunite for a rare second chance with the one that got away. Lawrence and Chilli (real name Rozonda Thomas) bring an authentic perspective to the show, as they found love with each other after previously experiencing heartbreak in past relationships." Matthew Lawrence Reflects on Finding Love With Chilli Later in Life | Us Weekly .....it's over. They could have Serena. They could have Halle Berry. But when they start snatching up Venus Williams and Chilli.....the game is obviously rigged. it's time for a RESET....lol. Come on @Chevdove! When is the next comet or asteroid scheduled to hit the planet? It's time for a NEW Earth and a NEW System

Long Term Drug Abuse And Brain Damage
Pioneer1 replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
ProfD As I alluded to above, even with abuse znd misuse of drugs, other than overdose and death, drug abusers still maintain their faculties when they're not high. Right. Having been around a number of drug addicts, they might do weird sh8t but they're not intellectually deficient. I find this somewhat amazing. I've been seeing this since I was a kid. So many people who've been abusing dope and alcohol for years yet still remain smart, witty, and sociable. Drug and alcohol abuse does mess up other organs over time. It just doesn't seem to impair the brain in such a way to render someone a vegetable. It appears that the liver is the organ most damaged by excessive dope and alcohol abuse since it's the main poison filter in the body, but other organs are also affected. How long did it take for you to realize Santa Claus wasn't real? I believed right up until my Father broke the news to me one day when I was sitting on the floor playing...lol. I had to be around 4 or 5 and I was asking him about something concerning Santa Claus and he was standing in the bathroom getting dressed to go to work and broke the news to me STRAIGHT...no chaser...lol. I took it pretty well though. "Santa Claus" didn't always get me what I wanted anyway, so I wasn't too disappointed that he didn't exist....lol. Capitalistic society is perfectly fine with building wealth on it but doesn't want to encourage drug and alcohol usage. Perhaps among certain groups or "classes" of people they actually do. If people are "too sober", they'll start actually DEALING with their problems head on and solving them instead of just anesthetizing their pain and frustration through substance abuse. The new thing now is ENERGY DRINKS...lol. Those seem to be more addictive than Crack with most people. -
Dolemita said: "You really do live in a world of make-believe, don't you? You're like a kid playing with a train set, only this ain't no game suga' We playin' with fire stashing all this dope in these bee hives. That loud suit wearin' jive ass nigga GO find out, sooner or later. And when the shit hits the fan.... When the action REALLY goes down.... I know where I'll be. But do you?"

ProfD Damn... Benson and Hedges IS far back. Back when you could by cigarettes from VENDING machines....lol. Right next to the Velamints....lol

Different strokes for different folks
Pioneer1 replied to aka Contrarian's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Some racists are that way from indoctrination and experiences in life, but I think some people are BORN racist. It has little to nothing to do with how they were raised or what they were taught. If you were to put them in an isolated or ideal environment where racism didn't exist....they'd START manifesting racist tendencies anyway. They may feel frustrated, angry, or uncomfortable around other groups of people who don't look like them but since no system exists to justify or articulate to them WHY they feel the way they do...they'd just be confused. The sex urge is natural, you don't have to be taught it. HOW to use it....yes...but the feeling itself...no. So a person raised in the wild will STILL have a sex urge even though there are no people around to teach them what it is or HOW it should be displayed. What we think of as being "taught" racism is often times merely a REFINEMENT of already inherent racist tendencies in the individual. Teaching a racist HOW to be a "better" or more effective racist. Again...... I'm not saying ALL racists fit this description, but I believe many if not most of them do. It's far too widespread for it not to be genetic or inherent at some basic level. -
Different strokes for different folks
ProfD replied to aka Contrarian's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Racists are conditioned by the environment in which they are raised starting with their parents. The racist doesn't need to know anything because they benefit from being white. No matter how under-educated white folks might be, they'll still have more privilege than non-whites. They were pardoned by POTUS OJ too. A broke one can walk into a bank and get an unsecured loan faster than a non-white person with a high income and a perfect credit score. They want America to return to the land it was before the 1960s. -

Troy replied to aka Contrarian's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Right, and how did they become racist? The racist is one who is easily manipulated who cannot think on his own and is probably undereducated and has read very little outside his racist little world. He knows nothing about, does not understand, or simply rejects science. these are the people who waved the confederate flag and who storm the capital They are the toothless uninsured, who fight against the affordable healthcare act, fluoridated water, and vaccines. They wanna replace the Bible for science courses in schools. They want to ban books with black and gay characters in them. They want to teach you the world is 5000 years old, slaves, learned valuable skills and are better off here than in Africa… we need help. -
I don't believe POTUS Oj would be able to serve another if he had a desire to do so. POTUS OJ may not be mumbling on his way out of the Oval Office but he will have a strong diaper subscription within 2-3 years. They might have to puree that McDonald's food he likes to eat as well.

Looks like folks still smoking those Pall Mall and Newport cigarettes too. I remember when they would refer to certain cigarettes as chest-busters.

Countdown to End of Trump’s Presidency
aka Contrarian replied to Troy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
There's no doubt in my mind that Trump will finish out his term, or is there anyway he will go quietly if defeated at the polls in the next election. The $1776 being allotted to military members is not a bonus; it's a bribe to get them to overlook the part of their oath to not obey illegal orders. Perilous times lie ahead for this country. imo. -
@Pioneer1You really do live in a world of make-believe, don't you? You're like a kid playing with a train set. In the real world, you'll be doing good to attract a thousand viewers. "Don't woke him up;let him slept on."
