We have it really good in the states don't we? This type of passion/fanaticism is common in every part of the world. You would expect that this country would encounter more situations that are similar, but I guess our country being built on the foundation of servitude and Christianity has made the people more docile and prone to inaction. I do see a time in the very near future where our media will be attacked with the same vitrol by Christian fundamentalists and survivalists types as well as enlightened young Americans who are no longer blinded by their generation influenced attachment to religion. I'm not saying that these attacks will be good or bad, just that these events are going to begin hitting closer to home.
