Pure garbage...

A word we said had been buried....why are we resurrecting a word that means someone is going to die at the hands of their oppressor. Clarence is a mocking bird, I recall a book entitle: To Kill A Mocking Bird. Clarence represents self-hate. Lets not join him. The word has been buried. The Bible says...let the dead bury themselves (dry bones) me must struggle forward if we are to struggle. My goal is living. LOL

Confederate Flag... Consider what the American Flag Means
Dr. Jazzy replied to Troy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Their National Anthem... "And where is that band who so vauntingly swore, That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion A home and a Country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash'd out their foul footstep's pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave, And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave." Our National Anthem.... Stony the road we trod, Bitter the chast’ning rod, Felt in the days when hope unborn had died; Yet with a steady beat, Have not our weary feet Come to the place for which our fathers sighed? We have come over a way that with tears has been watered. We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered, Out from the gloomy past, Till now we stand at last Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast. interesting.... -
A wealth of knowledge has left the people, his spirit is now a part of the universe. Mr. Gregory has joined our circle of ancestors.

The American Dilemma: the lady among the races.
Dr. Jazzy replied to Dr. Jazzy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
I am still learning..... -
How far have we come from the revelations, speculations, stereotypes, and evaluations that are given about us and the labels were give to ourselves. "In our world, however, extremes quickly meet. Sumner believed it “the greatest folly of which man can be capable to sit down with a slate and pencil and plan out a new social world,” a point of view containing little hope for the underdog. But for all his good works, some of Park’s assumptions were little better. The Negro, he felt, “has al-ways been interested rather in expression than in action; interested in life itself rather than in its reconstruction or reformation. The Negro is, by natural disposition, neither an intellectual nor an idealist, like the Jew; nor a brooding introspective, like the East Indian; nor a pioneer and frontiersman, like the Anglo-Saxon. He is primarily an artist, loving life for its own sake. His m’tier is expression rather than action. He is, so to speak, the lady among the races.”

Justice, helping those who need the most help, first.

“Each person’s destiny is not a matter of chance; it’s a matter of choice. It’s determined by what we say, what we do, and whom we trust.” – Truett Cathy (Founder of Chick fil A) -

Each person’s destiny is not a matter of chance; it’s a matter of choice. It’s determined by what we say, what we do, and whom we trust.” Quite a powerful message. How do we become "Change Agents" for people who need the most help, first. Most of these people are our people. People who are not considered white. -

The people who have the ability to begin the problem solving process, focusing on helping the the people who need help most, first could eliminate this problem tomorrow, but do not have the will to do so, and the people who have the will to do so, do not have the ability. Keep picking up the books and maybe reading some of the books will allow people who are not white to again begin the problem solving process. -
Each person’s destiny is not a matter of chance; it’s a matter of choice. It’s determined by what we say, what we do, and whom we trust.” Quite a powerful message. I stopped to eat at a restaurant and sat by the window so I could watch the people passing by on the street. There were literally hundreds of people milling around and waiting in line. Amid all the confusion and traffic, a delivery man was pushing a cart stacked high with boxes. He was trying to navigate the cart delicately through all the crowds of people dashing by. No one took much time to notice him. As he pushed the cart down a slight curb, four of the boxes toppled over onto the street. People kept walking by either ignoring him or making a face because they were aggravated that he was in the way. The delivery man was struggling to balance the other boxes and maintain the cart at the same time, but it was impossible. Finally, a young man in his twenties stopped and offered to help. The young man picked up the boxes and balanced them on the man’s cart. No one asked him to help. He did it out of the goodness of his heart. He did it to be kind. He did it because he wants the world to be a better place – the kind of place where strangers take the time to help each other. That’s how I want us to be too. Let us not accept our destiny as a matter of chance; let us make a choice to help those who need us. Let us take the lead in saying and doing the things that make this world –a better place. Justice, helping those who need the most help, first.

How Do We Start The Process of becoming Problem Solvers?
Dr. Jazzy replied to Dr. Jazzy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
We continue to talk about the symptoms because we are continuously mistreated by ourselves and others... becasue of white supremacy/racism however we continue to wear the mask. When we remove the mask what is left....the problem or the answer? let's travel this road most are interested....we want change.... -
After all of the protesting and violence over the last five years to stir up people about the gaps in income inequality, Blacks are still the poorest of the poor and Whites are now officially on notice of the imminent economic destruction of White civilization. “Federal regulators say five of the biggest banks in the U. S. failed to develop adequate plans for how they might reshape themselves in case of bankruptcy, which could leave them unable to survive without another taxpayer bailout,” Associated Press reported April 14, 2016. Once again we have evidence that skin color, not money, is the key to survival. That is why our focuses on how self-empowerment Blacks can lead our community away from the almost certain devastation. Your thoughts....

How Do We Start The Process of becoming Problem Solvers?
Dr. Jazzy replied to Dr. Jazzy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
It appears that all comments and statements are addressing the symptoms of White Supremacy/Racism. We see the symptoms, with the pictures submitted by one of your veteran members. The question again is how do we begin the process of becoming problem solvers. Our ancestors were problem solvers and then came white supremacy/racism...... -
Trust me when I say to you that if you investigate this matter in a serious matter you will be able to answer the aforementioned question of ‘What would America be without her Slaves /Negroes/Blacks?’ “Nothing!!!!!!” because she would not even exist were it not for the contributions of enslaved Africans. We are a proud people who built a nation without any directions. We are the only people/culture who freed ourselves without a war or bomb....Looking back to bring forth.....

“Sankofa is an Akan word meaning we must go back to our roots in order to move forward, to gather the best of what our past has to teach us, so that we can achieve our full potential as we move forward, can we start the process of becoming problem solvers by experiencing an Sankofa moment of us all focusing our mistreatment and becoming united as one people, who are being mistreated all around the world, because of the color in our skin in the spirit of Sankofa. Will this is dismantle white supremacy/racism?

I read this somewhere...is this really the truth? Thirteen Lies We Tell Black Children 1) Black parents and adults can protect you in the world. 2) Go to school, get a good education and you will get a good job and live a happy life. 3) Do not commit a crime and you won't have to deal with the police. 4) Get a good job, save your money and you will be economically successful. 5) Others are responsible for your health. 6) Take pride in your house and community and the housing values will go up. 7) If things are not going well in your community, it's the parent's and adult's fault. 8) There is a job for everyone who wants one in America. 9) The media just reports the news, they don't "make" the news. 10) Your reward will come after this life, not during this life. 11) If you do not vote, you are responsible for your plight. 12) In America, all people are equal. 13) Segregation of the races and slavery is over. Thirteen Truths We Don't Tell Black Children 1) You must be self-reliant and depend on yourself and your family. 2) Expect and prepare to have contact with police. 3) Listen to and respect your parents and other concerned adults in your life. 4) Create a job for yourself and for others in your community. 5) Be responsible for your health, and you have a better chance for a good outcome. 6) Learn to succeed in life in spite of your education in schools. 7) Value your culture and your racial history. 8) Young men must respect young women and vice versa. 9) Elders and seniors in the family and community must be revered. 10) Become financially literate and understand how money works. 11) Help promote, rebuild and invest in Black families and communities. 12) Young Black men and women must always give maximum effort! 13) Believe in a greater, higher power or universal source beyond you.

Earl Warren taught that "we could have peace neither in our cities nor in our hearts until truly equal education, equal opportunity, equal enfranchisement, and equal respect were made the patrimony of every American." Dr. Bethune said, "We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends." They shared a faith in equal opportunity and optimism about the future that connected them. Mrs. Bethune knew that education was the great equalizer. Warren knew that the law was the great leveler. Where are we today? Do we have the desire, but not the will, or do we have the will, but not the desire. White supremacy/Racism can be dismantle in a matter of seconds if only the whites, who do not practice white supremacy, would only say stop it, and stop it now to the white supremacist. Do you think they will all just say stop it, and stop it now?

How Do We Start The Process of becoming Problem Solvers?
Dr. Jazzy replied to Dr. Jazzy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
The problem that is confusing the people of the world is mistreating people, especially people with color in their skin? How can we start the process of solving this problem? -
It appears that white supremacy/racism begin when Black People begin the the task of achieving all around the world. One well know example would be the "Black Wall Street" in Tulsa, Oklahoma this town was literally destroyed. The holding back and holding up a group of people because you can, and this action having an impact on their lives and their children lives has to be supreme, this is frightening, and the answer is continue to achievement? Again, I ask the question, how do we begin the process of solving this world problem of white supremacy/racism. This powerful institutions has and continue to destroy many lives and many cultures.

How Do We Start The Process of becoming Problem Solvers?
Dr. Jazzy replied to Dr. Jazzy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
The Hare's have written many books on many topics about the Black problem, but there is still the question of how is the process of becoming problem solvers to begin, if we cannot come up with a solution to treating all people fair, especially all of the people who need the help the most. Can these dry bones live? -
White supremacy is a form of racism centered upon the belief, and promotion of the belief, that white people are superior in certain characteristics, traits, and attributes to people of other racial backgrounds and that therefore white people should politically, economically and socially rule non-white people. How do we remove the concept from society and begin to treat all people equally?
