  1. True to all that! Yes, he did his job (with minimum impartiality, but some partiality nonetheless) of investigating 45 with honor and distinction, no one can question that. It's that "honorable distinction" part I have a problem with, among other issues. "Professional Courtesy" among lawyers and doctors is not a requirement, it's a discretionary choice. Most don't like to sue or question the other's integrity. And some don't mind. Robert Mueller is a professional who practices and believes in professional courtesy. That's why he did only not say anything nasty but refrained for saying anything substantial. The opening of his report's introduction should have left no room for interpretation; stated from the beginning whether he found collusion, conspiracy, and obstruction of justice; for the greater good, not out of professional courtesy. Mueller watched Barr's confirmation hearing just as you and I did. And to opine he didn't see what our lay perspective missed would away from the credit we give him. He knows Barr personally, and to watch his colleague refuse to offer a yes or no to whether he'd provide full disclosure is suspicious, on the high end; evasive on the low end. Mueller's career didn't skyrocket because he's a great person, he excelled because he's a damn good prosecutor. What's the difference between this Don and Teflon Don he took down so many years ago? Is the question I ask. Or perhaps we're wrong about his lawyering skills, or his courage to present an indictment case against a sitting president, to the Supreme Court. He wasn't shy about going after the mob. Yeah, Rod Rosenstein's another twisted faced sycophant. But he covered himself while giving cover to Mueller too: "If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these matters. (d) Sections 600.4 through 600. l 0 of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations are applicable to the Special Counsel." I'm just saying.
  2. That's true. And if you really think Mueller is nonpolitical and impartial, there's a river here in the desert I'll sell to you for cheap. Correction, the duty, and charge of the DOJ are to safeguard and enforce Federal laws that protect the people and the Constitution. Mueller had a duty to make a call, especially since no prior precedence denies or forbids him to make it; just as there's no prior precedence that would permit or deny him to offer public testimony, as opposed to private. America didn't come to be without 'testing the waters'. even in the face of rejection by the SC. It's interesting to see where Mueller goes from here. Back into retirement or a permanent appointment. Just speculating.
  3. It was inductive reasoning; 45's behavior and official findings based on truths provided some evidence they'll force him out of office, my conclusion. Logic is neither right nor wrong, except in formal science. And deductive reasoning, derived from many sources. Loss of $50 bucks, because 45 lasted two-years, does not make me wrong. Technically, nor you a winner, That charity is the winner. Reasonably logical! Conclusively, Robert Mueller's impeccable reputation of honor and impartiality lack the guts to call a spade a spade; well hidden behind his white male Republican agenda most likely coordinated with Barr, and others, to distort and/or conceal true findings of his own investigation. Including his insistence on a non—public testimony before Congress, because he does not want to politicize his testimony. BS!!! He, Pelosi, Schumer, Sanders, Biden, and all of them stand invested for other than the people; whether 45 stays or goes. And let's not even get started on the GOP, 45 and his base. Hence, cynicism validated, not a damn thing will be okay for Black folk in America, ever!
  4. And even then the attracted eyeballs see', at least, some accurate data. It's how data miners, advertisers, and BS artists establish credibility. Do you not know how to distinguish fact from fiction? Contrary to conventional wisdom, the trees are not a distraction from seeing the forest; they are in the forest. But you won't find any whales or sharks there. If you get my point. Who cares about honest, popular truths we already know. What's important is the explanation behind reasons of why anyone would obscure a truth. i.g., "I already know the truth, that 45 is a wannabe con man dictator who merits impeachment"; that truth isn't important. What's important is why anyone would think otherwise. More important is the explanation behind that reason. This way of looking at matters serves to validate or invalidate my cynicism. Keeps me open-minded and reasonable safe from buying BS. Drawing from your inferences and conclusions, from books alone does little more than form your ideas; and those ideas, further shaped by 'so-called' "long-form articles, and lectures by knowledgeable people" render you an extension of someone else. If you truly know the truth, as you infer then the lies you seek to avoid leaves you incomplete and misinformed, still. Information, truths, and lies are like healthy cobalt for the body, you get it by eating a little of everything in your local supermarket. My reasoning, I try inductive and deductive logic. But my particular way of thinking, especially when based on what I think is good judgment often remain wanting. Just like you and most people. Hence, you winning that last wager was not act or prediction of genius; it was speculation made on a hunch. Please, don't fall into the trap of denouncing daily intake of information, whether social media or news (left and right-wing). The truth lay in everything and to find it you must look everywhere.
  5. Excuse me! I think you mean 'distract' eyeballs. No matter the place you're distracted, however, it still comes down to various takes on the information out there, every day. Minimum constant critical and speculative intake, if nothing more than analyzing headlines every day is how you separate the BS for human sh*t. Sorry, the news isn't meaningless, but informative when absorbed with caution. What is information (data) anyway if not an emotional take on current events that shape our perspectives? This includes data taken out of context. We can learn more from lies than the truth. Which is my personal 'brand' "The only story more important than tales about truths is the explanation behind the lies!" Your prediction 45 will finish his term and/or reelected appeared circumstantially based, not on historical or legal facts, but on reasonable speculation; is little more than a hunch. Again, nothing in this day and age surprises me. Yes, we do have a wager 45 won't finish his two-years or reelected.
  6. Considering DT's continued shirking of established legal norms, brother Troy, it's not even about the wheels of justice, which 45 wields effectively, it's about mounting frustrations of Congress (on both sides) and public opinion, that inevitable road of process. While anything can happen in 18-months (?), the destruction he could cause, pretty much, marks the end of democracy, America as we know it. Especially for White folk looking to capitalize on their newfound progress at ultimate hegemony; and civility in the US. That too is just around the corner, but the fickle finger of fate may demand a delay on that destruction. Fate won't permit DT until 2020.
  7. Fair enough. The more painful unusual exit from the Oval Office, wishful-thinking on my part; like a corrupt scientific research team, appointed by the Trump administration, who accidentally leaves and African black mamba aboard his plane. But that isn't very nice thinking though is it? Let's go with $100 to my favorite charity (or yours if he's not) if they impeach Donald Trump, he resigns from office or indicted that prevent him from running for reelection. Double or nothing: and another $100 if he's not re-elected and remain in office past 2020. let's treat it as if it's a split wager, a total sum of $200 on New Year's Day 2020. Or is that too complicated? Your shot brother Troy! Needless I say, this is all dependent on whether America is stable enough to even hold an election in 2020 as people may be too busy killing each other to vote. In which case I win anyhow. My charity can definitely use a hundred dollar contribution, in that case.
  8. Exactly, and all the racism seems directed at Black people, globally. But coverage of anti-Semitism, Nazism, and such drowns out Black suffering. I've been paying a lot of attention lately, to two Rep. Ilhan Omar who denounces double standards of Congress. Claiming to care about the conditions of Black folk while supporting the disparities of other minority groups.
  9. Oh yeah, same terms; proceeds paid to my favorite charity!
  10. Brother Troy, we can only hope though I am not as optimistic about civility in America. But since there's nothing to lose, put me down for $100 that Donald Trump does not finish his term (for any reason); and $200 if he's not reelected. Any more takers?
  11. That's quite possible, brother Troy, though I believe the outlook is much bleaker. America has never been at these crossroads before. True, Donald Trump may very well finish out his term; or worse be re-elected. If America and its institutions survive to 2020. I don't think it's Donald Trump we have to worry about at this point in history, it's the bloodthirsty, sycophant, tribalist American public we have to worry about. All this chatter about a Civil War, race war and Donald Trump not going peacefully into the night; it's too normal and expected of a grandiosity addicted narcissists.
  12. Just reviewed those stats; damn shame! Though I think those gamblers' wagers are also candles burning under the cross, wish list, he makes it to 2020. I am curious of Brother Rep Elijah Cummings new role as 'Oversight' chairman; with the power to investigate any and everything within and outside government. I truly hope he stays true to the cause!!! with all those newly elected women, I may even regain trust in White folk. Michelle Obama would be a meteorite crush on earth if she vy for president. Anyway, Special Counsel finally turned towards the right direction in completing the investigation of DT as 'actually' helping Russia's in destabilizing the US - the fruits of 'Treason' - at its best;. Though Malcolm Nance may be right, DT Volunteer to resign under mounting pleasure to avoid criminal indictment, with a deal to spare his offspring.
  13. Congratulations Brother: Date: 01/15/2019 01:32 T102995478 NY Pre-Auth Transaction-POS Signature Purchase LITERARY FREEDOM PROJ BRONX NYUSA Amount to charge: $51.96 My end honored, with great pleasure! I apologize for the delay; been under the weather 3-weeks with pneumonia. My all means as it's a win-win no matter what. Usual $50 wager? I'm in, if for nothing more than a burning candle against that bastard even making to 2020! But this time I wager he will not be president at the end of 2020, regardless of how's he's removed, death by suicide or whatever. ARE YOU IN?
  14. That word again, 'ALT-ernative' of reality in space/time; if DT is booted before the year-end that reality will definitely be for certain then an uncertain alternative reality. "Literary Freedom Project' it is then. I'll forward you a confirmation receipt when the contribution is complete, before or by 12/20. Should the winds change in space/time, however, I'll still take the hit and you can make a contribution to another charity. I'll let you know.
  15. Almost over will be good enough, for me. Between now and almost over anything can happen. In any case, please give me the name of that charity again. At least we both win on this wager. I like the idea your charity reap the benefits! I'm flying to Dubai on the 20th and need to make good before the New Year. Thanks
  16. I'm still 100% certain anything can happen between now and 12/31/2018, including the GOP moving against DT before Dem's officially take control of the house. Deflections are already happening. While it is also possible I'm wrong; What's the name of that Black charity you mentioned before, Troy?
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvd7PqI_Lx0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiE1pe-25BE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqesw5kwEow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6NgsJeIRfs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxF_CDDJ0YI
  18. @Troy If DT is still in office after 2019, that's okay because it's sure to bring in new blood in leadership while innocent blood flow; if he'is not that's even better as many will have time to run for cover. But I seriously doubt it because the GOP's going to vie for the voters who gave Dem's control of Congress, to save their own ass's; unless he's within the 32-days. You got to admit, though, the waiting is exhilarating, in a sad way.
  19. Yes, the same scenario whether he's affirmed or not. It's all about the final floor vote now; with the state of civil affairs at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if a major clash occurs before the final vote. Damn, just thinking about women being attacked for protesting raising a whole new set of questions and personal anger!
  20. And with little and no mention whether those tax fraud violations are on-going, whether DT's offspring is benefiting from similar schemes, it remains uncertain statues of limitations have actually run out. Moreover, as I alluded to before, when DT's base learns the truth about his wealth they'll have even more reasons to start their coup or race war, of the 1000-year-old American government scam that started before colonizing the Americas. And if we must consider history as precedence then the French Revolution most describes what is happening today; the only buffer between another civil war in America and social compliance is national entitlement programs. When folks can no-longer put food on the table, clothes and protect their family, civility goes out the window. Still keeping a close eye on the Kavanaugh dilemma.
  21. @Troy Brother, don’t let that false sense warmth fool you; winter is here, the worse history has ever recorded; it’s what’s concealing the big picture before our very eyes. Those evangelicals couldn’t care less about abortion, whites nationalists could care even less about the pure white race, and the 1% don’t give a shit about money. Brother, all EVERYBODY cares about has to with something much simpler; and it’s not even serious to them, it’s fun. Cruelty, self-satisfaction, and the thrill of a kill, any kill will do and, even the children are in on it. The politicians, bankers, and leaders are concerned with surviving a humanity gone mad. Yes, we’ll see what happens with the Kavanaugh situation. However, I’m convinced the GOP already see it necessary to reject him as the president’s nominee; to usher in the havoc of their sick base. Which they hate also. Winter is here and more apparent with every passing day. 45, as you like to refer to him is little more than a chaotic tool for Republicans and white folks to refresh their thirst for blood (so to speak). The only event more important than a democratic win on November 6, is to forego election day with mass unrest. That’s what the people want and it is what the GOP (and dem’s) need to further solidify control. No, I doubt, very much, there will be a confirmation. You have entirely too much optimism in people; how many times must we experience the bite of humanity to accept that people are not humane and precedence, history is not repeating itself. This winter is different.
  22. @Troy That’s true, ‘federal’ civil fines are not dischargeable under Title 11. And, going down in glory as past President’s is equally a big question mark depending on how he goes down. Once again, Brother, your optimism based on precedence is obtuse at best, but discerning all things considered precedent. Human’s first inclination is evil, I do believe, although, the second inclination is always guided by conscience; sometimes ever overriding the first inclination. Republican base or no base, I think the GOP will ultimately submit to whims of those citizens with greater voter power. If we’re discussing political ‘base,’ that is. No, I will not cause you the trudge of combing through past posts, though I do recall removal, “not president’ by 2019, by whatever means is what I thought was the wager. If I jumped in without understanding the details (if such was specified) then I’ll accept that. I'll accept Del's understanding, removal by any means other than death.
  23. @Troy Not the kind of ‘insolvency’ bankrupt you’re thinking about; his were Title 11 Chapter 13 claims that allowed him to keep some property and repay some debts without the interest and related fees; I’m referring to the Title 11 Chapter 7 kind of bankruptcy that leave the debtor with one house, one car, and clothes, even Melania’s wedding ring would go to satisfy an unpaid civil fine, if it’s value is over 10K. But as I said previously, that’s just another view of a vastly bigger picture. No, Brother, people don’t care and, it doesn’t matter because a person's first inclination is of self-interest, as a group, people tend to think alike. To reiterate a pass discussion here: “these are interesting times, but very scary times to be alive.” Among everything else, we’re witnessing the devolvement a degenerating human existence. Reveling in the spectacle of their shared, wholly irrational hatred and the prospect of imagined violence against each other, for nothing more than the sheer fun of it. Human traits that, once revealed, cannot simply be erased from memory. Emotional association, with everything, serves as the ‘what next’ after an information or other stimulate is absorbed, Brother. Without the emotional involvement, everything means nothing. What I see is that the Republican controlled congress will do what it needs to survive. CAN YOU AT LEAST SEE THAT? And if you can, what makes you so sure they won’t legislate impeachment proceedings; especially if they’re severely injured after the midterms and before 2019? Hello, Brother, the wager was for removal, period. Of DT from office as president regardless of how he’s removed, or for whatever reason; so long as it is before 2019.
  24. @Troy There’s a bigger picture behind the Times article, true the statues have run on all criminal allegations; though CIVIL FINES could send the Trump family into bankruptcy. Indeed, the bigger picture with ALL the serious and/or benign press that include DT, the GOP, foreign policy, Supreme Court, inequality, and everything boiling over may or may not send him to jail, but I think it will get him impeached and removed from office before 2019. Yes, the public is aware, whether they care or not doesn’t matter. In fact, it is the division between those who care and those who do not that matters, especially to GOPer’s in Congress and the Dems. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m considering everything that’s taken place since DT took office, without precedence or any one piece of information. And with that picture I hold firm to the belief DT will be removed from office before 2019; one way or another including resignation, Article 25 removal, impeachment/indictment, assassination, or even suicide. Including the part(s) mainstream media has played and state of the social fabric in America.
  25. @Troy "Tax authorities in the Empire State have opened an investigation after the New York Times reported that Donald Trump had engaged in “dubious tax schemes during the 1990s, including instances of outright fraud”, as he and his siblings took the reins of the real estate business established by their father, Fred Trump. The Times report found that, contrary to his image as a self-made man, Donald Trump “received the equivalent today of at least $413m from his father’s real estate empire”. " Impeachment. Impeachment. Impeachment before the indictment, before year-end! I really hope you win this, NOT REALLY!
