umbrarchist Posted May 16 Report Posted May 16 This new term has popped up on YouTube. Sometimes it is Black people tired of BLACK People and other times it is White people tired of Black People. Of course I contributed my 2¢ ======================== This is So Funny! I was suffering from Black fatigue in the 60s. I was swapping science fiction books with White boys in high school while my mother was calling them "Something CRAZY!" When I was with IBM in the 80s a White man asked me why I wanted a computer at home. Around 1999 I was on Black Voices talking about Black people standardizing on Linux. Of course we can't talk about planned obsolescence in Cars! Have Economists heard of Depreciation? Physics & Technology do Not Care about AnyBody!!! *Black Man's Burden* (1961) by Mack Reynolds That is Free on the Internet! *Daemon & Freedom* (2009) by Daniel Suarez Oh shit! I forgot, reading is "Acting White!" Definitely Verboten!
ProfD Posted May 17 Report Posted May 17 As they briefly mentioned in the video, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had concerns that integration was leading Black folks into a burning house. The question remains why are Black folks trying to force white folks into accepting them. Intelligent and/or talented Black folks should have been taught to think entrepreneurship several decades ago and how to start their own companies and businesses. Black folks should own banks, hospitals, schools, construction companies, legal and financial services, etc. Many foreigners come to America and start their own businesses with black folks being their #1 consumer. I don't know how young Black folks are already fatigued when they haven't done much of anything since leaving their parent's nest. Otherwise, Black folks as a whole should be fatigued from banging their heads up against the same wall of trying to get white folks to do *right* by them. The energy Black folks are expending on inclusion would be better spent building an infrastructure that makes us more self-sufficient and autonomous. Black folks should be producing more than we consume.
Pioneer1 Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 The recent video I saw of government officials welcoming those White South African immigrants and sticking U.S. flags in their hands in a way I haven't seen them do for ANY OTHER immigrants would be an excellent example of why there is "Black Fatigue" in this society. Right under the image they should show a sista sitting with her head resting on her palms to express about how tired she is with the double standards...lol.
ProfD Posted May 18 Report Posted May 18 Black folks should not be surprised or fatigued by the constant shade being shown to us by white folks and every group of people who've bought into the system of anti-Black and racism white supremacy.
