ProfD Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/28/economy/trump-wall-street-taco-trade-nastiest-question TACO = Trump Always Chickens Out That's the latest buzz in the news as POTUS OJ flip flops on his threats and negotiations. The whole tariff thing is all over the place. Hard to keep track of the percentage countries are expected to pony up. The war between Russia-Ukrainian is ongoing despite POTUS OJ claiming it would be over in 1 day once he took office. There's 3.5 years for POTUS OJ to deliver on the promises he's made to his base. Right now, the clown and his circus are still in full effect.

If Project 2025 is the GOP playbook they are using to reshape America, it does not require POTUS OJ's survival. Any GOP POTUS could execute it. The real question is can another party reclaim government and will they move in a completely different direction from Project 2025.
Troy Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Yeah, the party in the white house swings back and forth as the people struggle for either party to improve things. The mid-terms will be telling.

Until the blue party 1) comes up with strong candidates and 2) outlines what they are going to do for Americans, the red party could be in power for the next 12 years or so.
aka Contrarian Posted May 30 Report Posted May 30 Elon Musk has picked up and split the Trump administration, leaving his DOGE project in shambles. A sign of things to come? Left to his own devices,Trump may end doing what no one else could accomplish; removing himself from office, via self-destruction.

One of the best possible outcomes we can hope for with that clown short of a cheeseburger and fries snatching his azz off the rock.

This assumes a rational electorate -- which we ain't. Besides since reconstruction the democrats are held the presidency the longest the democrats and the longest stretch of 20 years. The republicans are not likely to ever beat that IMHO. 18 hours ago, aka Contrarian said: Left to his own devices, Trump may end doing what no one else could accomplish; removing himself from office, via self-destruction. This appears to be becoming increasingly likely.
