Pioneer1 Posted Sunday at 03:14 PM Author Report Posted Sunday at 03:14 PM Chev @Chevdove I'm not a fan of hers, but I do recognize that Arianna IS a great singer. Probably due to a number of factors, including: -Like so many White RnB artists, she grew up observing AfroAmerican singers and started imitating their style -She's of Italian descent so that African blood no doubt had contributed to her vocal muscles, rhythm, and talent in general. Remember, she sang at Aretha Franklin's funeral. I don't have a problem with HER personally; it's the movie itself that I take issue with. I do hear a little about appealing to the LBGT movement, but how? Without having seen the movie, one reason is because one of the main actresses....Cynthia Erivo....is either Lesbian or Bisexual. Anyway, I have not been to the movies in years, so I don't keep up with holidays blockbusters anymore. Don't worry, you ain't missing much. The only time I go is when I have to take somebody who wants to go....lol. Me personally, I'd rather wait until it comes out online and watch it at home on the big screen. But if you haven't been to a movie theater in years...one thing you might find surprising is the fact that they now serve LIQUOR in most theaters....lol.

I would rather wait until it comes out online. When I was a teenager people were sneaking bottles of liquor into the theaters anyway, so I guess they figured they might as well legalize it and start making money off of it. If it weren't for the indoor smoking ban....they probably would have legalized the use of Marijuana in movie theaters too, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get around it by allowing gummies and other edible forms of Marijuana in theaters. Anything to make a quick buck off the people.

Right. There are movie theaters here with full service bar and a food menu. The seats recline and have tray tables attached. The vibe feels like watching a movie while sitting in a restaurant. It's not a cheap movie experience though. The tab will be no less than $100 for two people.

Although I travel from time to time, I haven't really been to an actual movie theater OUTSIDE of West Michigan in years so it's hard to compare prices but for $100....two adults AND a couple or even 3 children can still have a pretty decent time at a movie theater as long as yall ain't eating or drinking too much....lol. The tickets themselves will be around $15-$20 per adult and $10-$10 per child depending on age. The bulk of the money is with concessions. Now that's the AVERAGE theater....in the day time. If you're trying to go to a ritzy type of theater at night....there's no telling how much it will cost. I don't like to go to theaters when they're crowded anyway. Some of the children in my family wanted to go see that Wicked shit, but we have yet to take them, lol. I would suspect that the prices of entertainment like most other things would be much more expensive in the DMV area or East coast in general than in Western Michigan. The cost of living in the Detroit area is twice as expensive and it's in the same state....lol.

Bringing the family to see Wicked there will cost several hundred dollars.
