They know good and dog gone well this plan won't lead to anybody getting Reparations.

Just like that crap they're doing over in Maryland.
.... just a trick or gimmick.

CITIES AND STATES DO NOT PAY REPARATIONS
Especially cities and states where slavery didn't officially exist...like Portland Oregon or San Francisco California.
Reparations are only paid by National/Federal Governments.

They KNOW this is going nowhere.
The mayor knows it and the media outlets that report on it know it.

It's just another bullshit trick-n-pony show designed to piss off and anger White people who read it.
That's the ONLY purpose of these "studies" and "proposals" as well as the media coverage of them.

Stories like this were designed TO spark controversy and argument and serve as a lightning rod or strawman built up for racist Whites to point to and focus on to justify their anger.

Now racist Conservatives have more bullshit to cry about on their podcasts and radio shows.
They can point to San Francisco and claim the city is "giving $5 million checks to it's Black residents", just to generate outrage.


Just like the entire "critical race theory" controversy a few years ago.
It wasn't designed to benefit or help AfroAmericans or truly educate  people about AfroAmerican history.
Since when did academic curriculums Universities offered,  get discussed in the national media?
The media purposely reported on it in a way that would anger White people and generate  outrage.

States and cities claiming to study or hand out reparations is definitely a smokescreen to stir up anger and confusion. 

 

They are trying to make a mockery of reparations. Trivialize the issue down to nothing.

 

I hope that Black folks interested in reparations keep their eyes on the ball. Don't fall for the BS.

"The Reparations Plan outlines a variety of methods to provide restitution, compensation and rehabilitation to individuals who are Black and/or descendants of a chattel enslaved person and have experienced a proven harm in San Francisco," the ordinance reads.

 

There are approximately 46,000 Black residents in San Francisco. 

 

The article also states that money from the city budget will not be allocated to the reparations fund. 

 

This is a political move and shell game from the Democratic mayor of San Francisco.

 

If/when the mayor decides to run for higher office, when talking to Black voters, he'll point back to this ordinance and say "I threw y'all a bone".

SOME Black people are gullible for the same reasons some people of other races are, namely low intelligence and wanting something for nothing.
